Re: Kiteboarding is officially sailing, gets its own medal for Paris 2024

I just want to be able to watch hydrofoil kite racing with multiple drone angles and LiveWire type on-screen augmentation. It's the only way I can actually follow a sailing race on TV. If it takes Olympics to do it, fine. I'd rather someone throw just a bit more money at the existing kitefoil gold c...

Re: Latest opinions and gear for a beginner foiler?

True, learning the feel of the foil during surface-riding is part of the foiling progression. But at least surf-foils have shorter masts, which help when learning to foil. Maybe use a surf foil, but shim the stabilizer to increase angle of attack, and reduce lift of the foil, so you can practice sur...

Re: Airush Lithium opinions

If cost is a consideration, try to find used gear.

Kites 1-2 years old will feel much better than your 2010, but be half the price of new stuff.

Re: Anyone try the LiP Sunglasses (is Zeiss worth the extra $) ?

I recently bought a cheap pair of sunglasses safety glasses from Home Depot, and a short piece of string. Drilled holes in the back of the temple pieces to tie the string. I've done two sessions, and they stay in place when I crash, and have no frame to block my peripheral vision of the water. Maybe...

Re: New GW 111

I've heard getting a good training partner if more important than foil prep.

Good luck!

Pretty wild that in 2018 we are seeing inflatable kites winning a course race, and TT boards placing 2nd!
