The Alibaba page says 59x26cmn and 38x11.1cm rear. It's an identical/original copy. The whole package comes with the case, T-nuts, screws just like the Takuma.
Can you post the link to the Alibaba ad?

Re: Foiling, a Pastime Worthy of Silicon Valley - NYT article

Never believe anything u hear in the news most of it is made up crap to complete the holes in the original story or just made up crap to make the story more exciting. "$6,000 each. In total, he estimates he has sold 110 foils, and has 50 in construction. This year, the demand skyrocketed. He said h...

Foiling, a Pastime Worthy of Silicon Valley - NYT article

Great exposure for foiling, but of course Silicon Valley wouldn't be Silicon Valley if they didn't claim to have invented and owning the sport..

Agree. 45cm worthless. 65cm should be the training length, then you keep it for shallow waters.
Yes - I love my 24 inch / 60cm mast for riding low tide / low wind / on shore. There is no way to get out with a longer mast and adds about 30 session during summertime in Florida.

Re: Ten Kiteboarding, a new Dutch kitebrand!

Where are their kites made? I like that Crazyfly and Core are making their kites in Europe, if this is just another Asia made kite brand what is there differentiation?

I agree it would be much better to go niche. Also curious about their pricing.

IMO the brand name, Ten, is a bit lame...

Re: How's the wind in Miami for this time of year?

There is usually a thermal wind of ~10 kts in the evening (between 4-8pm) - if there are no thunderstorms. Agree, only good for foiling most of the time.

Re: What hydrofoil board to buy?

My recommendation: get a second hand MHL Lift foil (2015/16) and a slingshot alien air. Great setup to progress on and will get you out at low end. You should be able to find both online for ~$1100, is still expensive but worth investment. You can also get a foilmount that you can attach to any board.

Re: Kite accidents videos

Better to watch and learn than learn the hard way yourself IMO. Very true, but show all the relevant aspects of the accident video and include some good analysis. The causes aren't always obvious nor are the means of avoiding the accident, certainly not to all kiters who might benefit from it. In m...

Re: Kite accidents videos

That guy on the foil... ouch...

Every kiter should watch these videos and learn from the mistakes these people made. In aviation every pilot reads accidents reports, in kiting we need to also stay on top of our game. Thanks for putting this together!

Re: Stupid question - what does overpowered feel like?

Get on a foil and you will instantly feel what overpowered feels like, while riding the same size kite you would normally ride.
