Re: Tips for learning to ride toeside

If you can do the turn, then you are on the stage which is quite similar to progressing from riding heel side board-on-the-water to flying. Just try riding toe side with board on the water for some time and flying would click in the same way as it did with heel side. This is where I disagree with o...

Re: Tips for learning to ride toeside

The smaller the kite (less powered), the easier, as long as it isnt so small you can barely foil, then it become tricky again. Some prefer to use a harness with a sliding hook to be able to twist more upwind (I dont like it, got one but dont like the sloppy feel eventhough it in theory might help wi...

Re: Straps or strapless poll

So Straps count: 18 Strapless count: 13 As said - surprised how many who dont race or ride fast, riding strapped, so it explains a lot of the "trim" posts you see, that otherwise would be obsolete :D Probably because many want to jump :thumb: Good to see there was an explanation, namely that most ri...

Re: Which is your preferred trim system?

Clam cleats, definitely. Easy to adjust, you can see when the depower gets worn, you can change the rope easily and fast, you can change depower length and position easy, and you can make this trim system yourself for your bars. Furthermore you can use the smaller clamcleat CL828 if you like, for th...

Re: Moses 2018

I got a 100 cm and a short 83 cm mast (and one in between) grigorib. It is a good combo indeed, as the short one can be used in marginal onshore winds. A 75 would also be fine here, it is just in this region these are usable in such conditions - being possible to get up and out. And 80 cm is still o...

Re: Foil position on track

I am riding a GW 101 with 590 wing on a lf galaxy board. I have the foil about 4 cm fro the back of the track. I know this could be a long discussion, but in general, what is the benefit to moving the track all the way forward? Is it just for moving foot position forward? Thanks for any input. "Is ...

Re: World kite championships 2018

A week with races in so many different conditions, ranging from 1 to 45 knots :thumb: The last day with the Medal Race on TV (top ten one race final) were unfortunately cancelled due to an upcoming thunderstorm on this last day :( The top 3 results are as this after 16 and 19 races - Women 1. Daniel...

Re: Moses 2018

Okay, we know the trim has to be offset some, changing from normal Moses wings to the Onda and reverse. Laughingman, what about getting another board(s) instead?, where the tracks fit the 633 wing (AND also the smaller wings) That would solve your problem, as when you stand correctly, these wings do...

Re: Moses 2018

You are right cwood, no such thing as "too much lift" no. Writing now as a "general" thread: But there is a but... For initial learning some find they are too big and a tad more difficult than our "normal" beginner wing sizes which are also pretty big, because they dont ride so smooth and easy but p...

Re: Rider Reviews: 2019 Ghost Whisperer 91, Moses 633, Lift 170, H-glide H4

True, it is a way too new part of kitehydrofoiling with these "surf" wings. Ketos and Moses have probably had these for the longest time (Ketos for over a year, Moses I dont know but some time too). It has only caught on hugely all over in the last 3 months actually, and many brands are making and t...
