Re: Moses W873 2100cm wing discussion

I dont like stabless, not for me... But using really small stabilizers can be utmost fun sometimes, with big wings, as you get a super lively foil in waves now, and more than sufficient stability. A couple of years ago I cut a stabilizer down to just under 200 cm2, works terrific. And I can see in t...

Re: strutless

Sorry, if you were referring to me tomtom, but I was talking LEIs only, not foil kites, as I believe this thread is about strutless LEIs and maybe onestruts :D

Foil kites are a different league in terms of relaunch, very true :thumb:

Re: strutless

Hi tomtom, yes Storm Voyagers reverse launch on the water. I think all kites for all brands can do this on land at least - this is how I always start when 10 m2 and above, because there is too little wind to launch any other way... On the water they can also do this, but NOT always easy as the waves...

Re: Moses W873 2100cm wing discussion

Just a thought... Wouldn't it 'work' if you like a very slow ride and pick a kite several sizes smaller than you normally would? But this is what we do with our 1200 cm2 Surf wings now Peert, pick two sizes smaller kites :thumb: So for average weights it seems too big with 2100 cm2, but for 140 kg ...

Re: strutless

I am pretty sure above characteristics goes for most strutless kites. Clouds being the most extreme as more lightweight of course. Around here we are riding Storm Voyagers in 12 and 15 m2, 2017-2018. And also got the 11 and 13 m2 V 2019 with one strut, of course the strut heavier, but really amazing...

Re: strutless

can you please post your experience with strutless inflatable kites? especially in light wind and relaunch They are lighter, hang better, relaunch better, turns faster, pack down smaller - only win win wins :thumb: When you are really powered they tend to flap/flutter more than normal strutted LEIs...

Re: Hallelujah

Cool, and impressive you can ride in 5-6 knots, THAT is low wind, even most of the best ones are not able to ride in 5 knots at all  Assume you are quite light and got a really big UL foilkite, right? Anyways, being able for the first times to do a foiling carve, and back, is sooooo amazing an...

Re: under a 9m better a 6 or a 7m for twintip riding?

You guys, STOP this please!!! Nobody cares what you write now, we are just sick of this quarrel... And you all want to have the last word, as you feel it is a personal attack displayed to everyone around the world :angryfire: So now you are nitpicking biting and citing words back and fourth, and rea...

Re: Difference on the small foil boards..

As BWD says it is about inertia. Not as much the center og gravity as it can be the very same on two boards, but if one is an either longer board, or a heavier board, the moment of inertia (or rotational inertia) is bigger. Moment of inertia is how difficult it is to "turn" something, so if really l...

Re: The stagnant foiler.

My current wing is loosely based on the Moses Fluente, at around 560cm2. The Zeeko Freeride wing is probably closest to what I have. A 750 cm2 high aspect front wing might be interesting. Wings are always interesting, true :thumb: So you seek a wing to be able to ride in marginal wind, and good upw...
