Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

I had my first stabless session with the Moses 683 and 633 wings and first impression it worked fine but not sure about it yet . The foil felt very free and loose with much less drag and the acceleration was great. at first I was like wow this is easier than I thought until I hit the waves and whit...

Re: too light to drift downwind?

Yeah that's pretty funny. On its side a hydrofoil just sits there but let the foil point down and it shoots downwind like a rocket. Of all the weird disadvantages nobody would ever think a hydrofoil foil is too light until you see it happen, but there it is. When a foil is too light it's impossible...

Re: Any experience with high load jumping using a "kite foil box"

KFBox or Tuttle box or whatever box are cleaner and more sleek and in every way also really strong when mounted correctly, using a good female box. But they can of course also be junk, if the box is'nt mounted right  I like a box simply because they are "clean", eventhough they are not needed ...

Re: Moses Onda with 330 Stabilizer

Thanks to all for the responses. I should have mentioned my setup as well, I guess. I am using a T40 which has no track so I can't move the mast back. I am riding strapless from day 1 so it is easy for me to move around. What I find on the 633 is that with increasing speed the front foot pressure i...

Re: Moses Onda with 330 Stabilizer

Peter - it wasnt Tom who wrote it - it was Foil - different dude :) But it was Tom I meant, and maybe also foil yes. Good to hear others that don't move their feet more when using bigger wings. Some do apparently, others don't. But I think the trim issue is located, that was my main point :D 8) PF

Indeed Wazza Foil, and moved forward a bit to keep the turning dynamics "good" and well balanced :thumb:

Re: Moses Onda with 330 Stabilizer

Hmmm, I have been thinking about the many post saying the trim is altered quite some on the 633. When strapless no issue unless you got a supershort board. On a very similar wing, the Ketos 1200 cm2 Surf wing I dont move my feet around more than on my 790 cm2 wave wing (strapless that is), and I sta...

Amazing Øyvind :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

The stabless fits your extreme fast turning spot on :naughty:

For us mere mortals who cant do shit, compared, it makes no sense but a disadvantage really

But you make it rock, respect

Re: Moses Onda with 330 Stabilizer

A smaller stabilizer will only help sligthly... Might be fun in terms of a more lively hydrofoil in terms of turning though, but off topic. Try shimming the stab as the first thing. Then you can also shim the fuselage/mast to get the wing further rear, but will also give you a "nose up" riding postu...
