Re: Do you disassemble your foilboard after each use?

Amazing, you dont HAVE to, as no gain when all carbon (as I assume when a Tuttle head), but choose to dissasemble and wipe and pack everything because you LIKE to do that? Cool, but not sure many (not me at least) like this part of it, when you ride daily in periods, between work and family/friends ...

Re: Do you disassemble your foilboard after each use?

Above two posts is the very reason why you have to... One has been lucky to avoid it most often, most others get stuck bolts quite fast if left assembled. After two weeks on an alufoil I had, the mainbolts (with lots of tefgel) were stuck in the mast and I were lucky to be able to get them out with ...

Re: SS’s New Infinity Wings

The aspect ratio numbers are wrong in above scheme... They should be corrected as they are only half of what they should be, so can not be compared to anything  The easy way to calculate is to take span*span/area :D Which essentially is the same as span/middlechord which is the very definition...

Re: Do you disassemble your foilboard after each use?

No, not often, but... I sometimes take the board off the mast (one screw only on Ketos so fast to do), so it can fit in the car with other boards and hydrofoils. Only take the mast of the fuselages on occasion if I need to store lots of other boards in the car, waveboards, surfboards, etc, so there ...

Re: any downsides to shimming stabiliser and big wing mast length

Yes, there are downsides when shimming... No downsides of longer mast combined with the big wings. But IMO loads of downsides of a shorter mast, but we can never agree on this one, I know. It is a reminiscence from SUP that does not make sense in waves with a kite I would say, but some like the shor...

Re: Visibility of low-volume strapless board

Yes, impossible to find your board when it sits "in" the water surface, and as there is usally a bit of small chop it gets out of sight, and colours dont work if a flat board  I use a Rubber Duck - a hole in the bottom, a big washer or similar inside the duck, and then a screw through the deck...

Has anyone ever used a Flysurfer Peak with a foilboard? If so, I’d love to know about the experience, including how the Peak affects upwind performance.

Thanks,

John

Some has, make a search on the forum, I remember a couple of threads :naughty:

Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

It may also a distribution thing. A lot more foils available in U.S. than Europe. I doubt it that there are a lot more foils available in the US. I also doubt that if there would be more foil brands available in the US it would make any difference on the number of hydrofoil riders. There are probab...
