Re: concept air pulsion

Hmmm, I would say you can use any bar for any kite, no doubt.

Only the few and rare (non race nor hydrofoil specific) loaded 5 line kites needs a specific bar as far as I can estimate

So any bar will work :thumb:

Re: Ideal line length

Agree with Pedro, so use your new 26 m lineset for allround, all conditions not hugely powered, and then add around 5 meter extensions when really light :thumb: If you dont wanna spoil your 7 m extension you can also use these of course, on your 26 m; it will begin to feel sluggish somehow when too ...

Re: Going even bigger foil kite, what size?

Everytime I and my friends have tried back to back same model foil kites we have chosen 15m over 18m for free riding / twin tip (speed3, speed4, sonic1 and sonic2). 15 being more agile is easier to fly on ultra low wind practically giving same low end for 70-110kg riders. Agree 100 % with this :thu...

Re: 1 or 1,6 mm frontlines?

1 mm indeed :thumb: 28-29 m lines is perfect, if you use it "always" with the 12 m2, also when powered just fine, and works for low wind days too. For a few marginal wind days you might benefit with a tad over 30 m yes, but often not that much more gain with these light and fast turning LEI kites, w...

Re: Liquid Force compatible surf foil wing

The "shovel" wing proved to be very good design proven by the fact that they didn't change it in three successive generations. However, I wonder how did LF miss the whole surf/sup hype -- all they needed to do is to make a bigger shovel wing with blunt LE. Out of curiosity, what is the shovel surfa...

Re: High wind hydrofoil photos

Great to see photos of people foiling in conditions that are challenging for any kiteboarder. Which of you guys are riding Strapless in these conditions? And what tips would you give to someone aspiring to ride strapless in more challenging conditions? I do (as you can see on the picture) If you ju...

Re: Kite choices for foiling in high winds ?

Really enjoying my 5m Reo - fast but you get used to it , and if you run a shorter bar it will slow down the reactivity. Light in the steering, very good drift ,great depower and overall gust stability - I am pretty convinced that wave kites are the way to go for higher winds as a result. I have us...

Re: Wheeler Wonder?

I think he was making aftermarket wings for the LF foil. Now Liquid force is making his design as the LF thruster. Flat isn't bad. Curved wings have better yaw and roll stability. It also allows you to roll more before breaching surface. Flat wings don't ventilate as severely when the wingtip breec...
