Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Had another day on my Spitfire. Standard wings, 20mph winds or there about. 195lbs and flying a 8.5 kahoona. All in all some progression. Most of the time board in the water with a lot of slapping. Was able to get foiling above the chop on occasion. When I did always encountered the board/foil porp...

Re: Groove Skate

So it sounds like the straps are one size fits all. I ride in very different conditions requiring everything from 5mm booties to barefoot with big feet (12US/46EU). I usually ride with one front very loose strap but have plans to start jumping with 2 straps. Any chance some adjustable straps could ...

Re: Marginal wind kites ?

Okay, it seems that the single skins works fine, but not the same power and smooth performance as some of the other contenders: Racekites in the light versions - but they turn a bit slow because of higher AR usually, and seem to "fold" easier. Concept Air Pulsion light version. Aeros Navy2 Ultraligh...

Re: Storm voyager vs other strutless

I´ve tried Cloud C1, LF Solo (first Edition), Storm Voyager II and North Mono 2016/2017. Apart from the Mono, all single or no-strut kites for me have the same downside: A lack of depower. As soon as the wind picks up just a bit for the respective kite size, they get quite a bit of a handful and ar...

Re: Storm voyager vs other strutless

How does it preform in the waves with sb? Do you use such a big kite in waves on surfboards ? Or not average weight maybe  I have tried it a few times, but being average weight it does not work at all, have tried it with "classic" wavekites too (heavier), as well as my one and no-strut, and n...

Re: Marginal wind kites ?

IMO windrange doesnt matter much with these kites, when only for marginal wind and freestyle/freeride  This is why too big is a no no, as if they start about the same agility is the word, unless the bigger ones gives you loads in terms of STARTING earlier of course, which some seem to do. Agre...

Marginal wind kites ?

We have had several threads about this, but would like to start one again - now where we have more options to choose from, and probably many have got more experience now and might be able to compare race versus freeride UL foil kites. Which kites seem to work the best in marginal wind for foiling ? ...

Re: 3-4 degrees upwind angle

Hey guys, Just getting in to racing and was curious how dramatic a 3-4 degree upwind angle improvement is from one kite to another. Is that a lot? It doesnt matter... It is only VMG that matters, "Velocity Made Good", meaning how fast you will reach an upwind mark. Racers usually point high because...
