Re: Which 2018 North Kite should I buy??

I’ve heard the same arguments over the years. Bottom line is I can do what most can do on a SB but I reckon most of you couldn’t do what I do on a TT. Cause riding a SB on a wave is the simplest form of kiting possible. We were doing that crap back in 2000 on sbs. Hey you SB riders keep thinking ya ...

Re: Which 2018 North Kite should I buy??

Well ... I disagree with Peter. We all still jump, loop, board offs , water slides, variations with rotations of all of these. Sure if you are just jumping and staying at the kook / medium level it may get a little tedious. Even after 18 seasons I’m still learning new board flips etc on both TTs and...

Re: Which 2018 North Kite should I buy??

That's it , its settled. The 2018 Evo sucks, end of conversation.        Well it’s just an opinion. Just like all the guys raving about it. I’m a massive fan of north, one of the biggest and haven’t owned anything but for a long time. So my views do ...

Re: Which 2018 North Kite should I buy??

Eppo, boy do you seem to hate the 2018 gen. I ve been riding EVOs for years and yes the 2018s are different, but not dramatically IMHO. I have only flown the 12 so far and for me it’s definitely an improvement. Lighter on the bar but still enough feedback to tell exactly where the kite is. Better d...

Re: Which 2018 North Kite should I buy??

I would buy a neo. Successive generations of development. It is now a superb kite, especially as you learn and develop. The evo and rebel have had a serious change this year (which I do not like nor do the lads) so I’d wait until 2 or three gen before I’d even consider them. Such a shame the last tw...

Re: What’s the best board you have ever tried?

^Eppo, you know that I have your old FS Rad board :) Where can I try NHP ? Jason @Pond? Yeh right lol. Small world. No one Over here has nobile demos nor stocks them I don’t think. They are bloody expensive over here as well. Somewhere over east sells them but the carbon nhp was going for 1700 ...!...

Re: What’s the best board you have ever tried?

NHP carbon 2017. Have tried and/or owned most of the boards mentioned above and yes they are all outstanding boards. NHP somehow with its excessive rocker and decent flex (so very smooth in the pop) goes relatively early and yet it’s edge cannot be broken. Your legs will snap first. Also the asymmet...

Re: 2018 North Evo, any thoughts?

Too add some balance. All four of us hated it. We have 2016/2017s 9/12m between us. Oh and a 10m. Mainly twin tip big jumping, board off, little wave riding dudes although the young fella among us does the strapless SB shenanigans. Riding north kites for probably longer than most have even kited. Ro...

Re: Core twintip reviews?

Seriously are people still listening to this chickendick en dude.

His blatant core plugs just keep reaching new heights.

Just be careful who you are listening to newbies on here.

Re: Pulleys on kites

From my personal experience, add a bridle, then you need at least one pulley. Otherwise the canopy has to do too much work when changing the angle of attack....it’s gotta spill air somehow. Non pulleyed kites all have that “fly off the front line” feel. Hence the canopy rocks back and forth and defo...
