Re: Kite choices for foiling in high winds ?

I've now bought a 5M Reo and have used it for foiling in 35-40 mph winds on a flattish ( tight chop ) spot and it was perfe...

Re: When it's windy....

I'm with cwood and Horst on this one and am foiling what ever the wind and water conditions.
I've only used my twin tip and surfboard once each this year , I'm just really enjoying the challenge of foiling in ALL conditions 👍

Re: toeside 180 tack . . . anyone got advice

I'm interested in this topic too.

I'm not a great fan of " Just keep trying the same old thing " as often this is just inducing bad muscle memory .

I think the best route is too either have someone who is able to do the move take a look or video yourself and post it for analysis !

Re: 5m kite recommendation

I found that when using a 5M kite it helped to have longer lines ( I put 5m extensions on )
That gave me the extra ummph to get out of the water and water start and it also slowed the kite down a lot .

Re: 5m kite recommendation

Hi Tom this is just my opinion but I have had many 5m kites over the years and they are all super fast although usually you can slow them down a bit by adjusting the pig tail position on the kite I think the most important Factor is that it will depower and as such I've ordered a 5m Reo for foiling ...
