Re: foot hook warrenty

Much to my surprise as I am not a particularly good diy'er I managed to make some more foothooks. Bought a cheap heat gun off amazon and some 6mm Perspex off eBay, just cut the Perspex to size, you can measure the length of the original using a bit of string to take in the curves, then heat up and b...

Re: riding toeside

hi folks, thanks for the replies thus far, one other question can you bring the kite over the top to carve to toe or do you need to downloop?

riding toeside

is it harder to ride toe side with two straps at the front as your front foot is off centre and down to leeward compared to having one centre strap?

thanks!

sitting on the board to relaunch

I was just reading the swimming in light winds thread and saw someone say they sit on their board to relaunch the kite. I use LEI's and wondering if this is recommended in light winds with big kites, saves worrying about the board if you are messing about for a while?!

thanks

Looping tips

Hi folks, so it's about time I started kite looping but a bit scared at the prospect! Every time I think I should go for it on the water I bottle it. What the easiest way to get the started, is it best to downloop and carve to toe or just loop and go downwind on the same tack? If it's the latter I a...

Re: line length for Hfoiling in >15 knots

Am I right in thinking that on longer lines you have more chance of keeping the kite in the air?

I still drop into the water to turn around so am vulnerable to the kite dropping at this point, do longer lines help?

thanks

Re: foot hook warrenty

So slingshot have refunded the broken foot hook which is great, however the UK distributor are no longer bringing them in due to such a high warrenty rate. I am therefore keen to make some myself, I really like the look of the examples above however if I wanted to make some similar to the slingshot ...
