Re: My new project : iGetwind.com

My first goal was to be able to compare multiple spot, so you can decide where to go based on forecast for different location. Thanks, yes share worked. For site by site comparison it would be convenient the scroll to move all sides together (so that I can compare by checking the vertical line) By ...

Re: My new project : iGetwind.com

Hi,

looks sleek!
I usually use the following because it allows multicomparison.
https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather/fo ... ca_4153188

It would be nice to expose the location in the url so that it works with bookmark without sign in

Doing this for a school project article I am writing, would like to know your opinions thanks Well, the style I do not like is wearing trousers so big that they are definitely stolen from a bigger guy! Re: Speed system / mixer test explanations

Thank you both for the clarifications. I've made a bar with lots of trim adjustment but if I understand correctly, shrinkage of spl limits the depower IN the mixer. (i.e the pulley will be at the end of the spl earlier because the spl is shorter) So we can say that as kites age, backstall more and h...

Re: Is Wakestyle dead?

Although not so many riders, most of the advertising and sponsoring monies go there!
I guess it is more photogenic

What is the Vegas vs other North kites ratio at your spots?
And how does it compared to the "favorite" kite of these guys?

Re: Speed system / mixer test explanations

A picture is a thousand words! Regis many many thanks for your drawings and explanations. One of the most useful posts in this site! I understand that playing with the Z line has 2 advantages for someone that does not want to mess around a lot. 1) adjusts both B&C proportionally at once. 2) looks ea...

Re: Top speed of a Moses 633 SUP wing combo (the Onda)

Kite is also lifting you up reducing the weight the foil has to support!!

In Fluid mechanics there is no stall speed, there is only stall angle of attack.

Re: Top speed of a Moses 633 SUP wing combo (the Onda)

Stall is not a function of speed. Stall happens at a certain angle of attack. What is meant above is that at that speed, you need such a high angle of attack to support your weight (minus the kite lift) that this angle of attack is critical - stalls. I assume that gunnar said 82kg meaning no kite su...

Maybe you can get a plate to KFBox adapter ?

I have used this excellent adapter from Zeeko, on the spitfire, to fit on all my KFBox boards :thumb:

Re: Switch Lineup

Yes, I think the new 7m-12m Helium 3 is essentially a refined and lightened evolution of the Element 5. Both have a similar aspect ratio but the helium is flatter giving a higher projected area per size which I think is a good thing for foil/wave. How does a flatter shape affect turning speed and p...
