Re: What are the white patches on boards?

I first noticed this paint effect about thirty years ago , on some "Pro" team windsurf boards, at the time most boards were predominately white, These Carbon copies of production boards were painted white, and quite a few riders had sanded back the paint finish to further lighten the boards, i first...

Re: what size F one mitu.

Second session on Mitu Pro Carbon 5,8 , ( I weigh 75K ) seems faster than my 2016 non carbon Mitu. with slightly more volume under the front foot. would have tried the 5'6 but none in stock , the weight difference between the 5'6 and 5'8 is minimal, and I prefer more float for tacks, and the extra l...

Re: Pivot 2018 10-12m kite weight, please?

I have 9m and 12m 2018 PIVOTS, will weigh them tomorrow, and post numbers, I'm guessing manufacturers weigh kites without attached bridles, the same as boards weighed without fins.

Re: New Mitu board size and construction

Thank you for your opinions of the two boards, the Signature does look more "gunny" from the photos and dimensions, I haven't seen one on the beach, and judging from your videos, you certainly know what you are talking about ! I also think Quads go upwind as if on rails. I weigh 75 k and 175cm , rid...

Re: New Mitu board size and construction

Re: North Neo vs Cabrinha Drifter for wave/freeride

Plus one on that !!!

Most every section , is surfing in side shore or cross off winds, where so called "Drift" is not even needed,

I think and It's only my opinion, that we have been sucked into this whole Wave Kite / Drift marketing . an average "Freeride" kite is adequate for 99% of us.

Re: Vacuum pressure for sucking water out of a surfboard?

It depends on how much time you have, keep the board inverted with the hole at the bottom for most of the time, then place the board outside in the sun with the hole uppermost, you won't get 100% out , but enough. do the repair, and ride harder Trust me, I've over-thought these things too many times...

Re: Vacuum pressure for sucking water out of a surfboard?

As Bill said, let the water drain out, it will take a few days, when it stops dripping , put a "wick" of tissue into the hole , this will wick the remaining water out, Good idea to drill a small hole in the opposite side to the leak, this will allow the water to run out faster, epoxy the damage and ...
