Not the best conditions for "surfing", In onshore conditions the waves tend to break early, so you get lines of white water, and not much slope to actually surf on, (depending on size. A short wide Quad would work well. Short so it will be very twitchy, turn quick to snap off the top of any unbroken...

Hi riddim1, I had exactly the same problem on my 2018 Naish Torque bar, I thought the chicken loop was fully engaged into the catch, and on launching the kite the loop popped out of the quick release. Pivot is a great allround/freeride kite which you probably won’t outgrow your whole kiting career. You can jump high with it, you can ride waves. At the same time it is very user friendly. Ridiculous, that's a hand made board, all it needs is another coat of resin on those areas, and then lightly sanded smooth. it won't affect performance, it's basically custom made, machines don't make mistakes, but they also don't add individuality.
