Re: 90X140 to 90X165 Adapter?

I did for my Nobile split board. I used fish board in 1/2 inch and drilled to mount on the 165/90 to the Nobile board. I then recessed stainless t-nuts for the rear 140 (liquid force) into the fish board. I shaped the fish board to a point in the front to reduce drag. it only has 6 holes. The front ...

Re: Drysuit or wetsuit if you anticipate a swim?!

I have the Ion Fuze neoprene drysuit. It does not get enough good press IMO. I kite year around in Boston and on the coldest days. It's the most comfortable, warmest thing I've ever worn. It fits well. You need decent fleece underneath for condensation (it's clammy on bare skin). It's so warm you do...

Hydrofoil as a carry on for airlines

Hi: I've been traveling more with my gear. I'd like to start bringing the mast, fuselage and wings as a carry on. Has anyone done this successfully? This NSI bag http://www.northshoreinc.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=427&idcategory=205 looks very low profile and should sit under the seat well. ...

Re: Nobile split NHP converted to foil travel board

I used these and they worked well. https://www.amazon.com/Hillman-4149-Stainless-Pronged-25-Pack/dp/B00IAVIZ4O I also use these for straps. I've used these for pretty serious applications in ski mountaineering. I added a second set of holes to the bottom of my Split Foil so I could mount my liquid f...

Re: Nobile split NHP converted to foil travel board

Yes, it's heavy. My bag weighted 56 pounds. It was super compact. I was NOT charged on any flights but I'm leaning towards a bigger bag that would fit my lift foil and a lighter board. I love the split foil. It's super comfortable to ride strapless on but it is really heavy. Good luck.

Re: Nobile split NHP converted to foil travel board

I don't see the need for a plate. I've converted 2 super light skimboards to foil compatible. I over-drilled the hole size and filed it with epoxy and let it cure. I then drilled and inserted t-nuts. I put a pad over it. It works awesome. Super light, though I learned quickly it's not great at touch...

Re: Liftfoils materials and durability

I can't answer your question but I can tell you the Lift wings and fuselage are incredibly well made, super light and have a great finish and look. Even more important they are incredibly stable and easy to ride. I was shocked at the difference between the Lift and an aluminum (liquid force) ride. T...

Nobile Infinity Split review

Greetings. I did a lot of research and finally dropped the money on the infinity. I have a 138 split from Nobile and I really like it. I was looking to include my foil arsenal into my travel plans. I'm new to foiling but getting good, long rides and really enjoying myself a lot. Out of the box the b...

Re: What are the best and most picturesque foiling spots on the East Coast?

Given all our Great White activity over the past week the sharks in Obx are puny compared to the Cape. I still think a foil looks too much like the lures I troll offshore with. It's a teaser that looks like a big flying fish. Nantucket is great in the fall. Smith point is deserted and you can get fl...
