Re: 6m soul for foiling

I switched from single strut 9m LEI to Soul 10m for lightwind and liked it so much (no more swimming in under 10 if I dropped the LEI) I also got the 6m. The 6m on 20m lines I can foil from 11/12 knots, change to 14m lines at 14/15 knots and it's really great not sure of the top end range as I woul...

Re: 6m soul for foiling

Anyone using the 6m soul for foiling yet ? I'm 70 kilos and I have 9m hyperlink ultra light and I love it but I'm get over powered a lot of the time and I need a smaller foil kite . I have smaller tube kites but I love the lift from a foil kite for doing foiling foot switches . I switched from sing...

Re: how long is too long?!

I've tried up to 33m in ligh winds with thicker lines on 11m tube. I prefer 30m with race lines and 65cm bar in similar conditions. I didn't feel a huge difference in 30 to 33m in speed or power. In really light winds the margin is very small and it depends on how "light" you're referring to. What ...

What is the chances of this AVS thing making the soft breaches of the Spitfire even softer?

What is AVS ?

(cant see it mentioned anywhere in this thread, nor in the whole forum...)

Re: Kite choices for foiling in high winds ?

I have a feeling that majority of freeride kitefoilers should have a go with small kites; they're nimble, fun, and more importantly less canopy makes it safer in strong gusts and in wave crashes, too. North Neo 4 was the biggest kite I have used in 34 sessions during the last two months with hydrof...

Re: Ideal line length

Is that really 53m line length or just a typo? Sluggish kite needs longer bar for more line throw! Out again today on 53 m, 14m2 kite was great in about 7 knots average. Semi stormy weather so great to have line length in case of extended lulls. Almost thought was not enough on beach but a little co...

Re: Kite choices for foiling in high winds ?

Anyone try the Liquid Force Solo 6.5m for foiling? New 2016 Solo v2 going for cheap right now. I have the 9 & 6.5m Solo V2, the 6.5 is not a high wind kite for me at 70Kg I can get it going at 12/13 knots and I'll change down to a Cabo 5m at 16/17 knots. I find the Solo is a really good hydrofoil k...

Crazyfly Pro Ltd footstrap compatibility

Does anyone have a list of decent footpad/straps that would fit this board 16cm spacing between holes?

Re: Lightwind / non-race foil

Peter what length are your 'normal lines' to make an 8m work in 10 - 11 knots?
I've recently started using 28m instead of 20m and can get my carver wing up & flying with a 9m kite, very happy.
