Re: Foil kites on shorter lines

Heh Duke, Welcome to a new challenge:) Btw, I just built my 2nd bar today for foiling. Super thin lines :) kidding :) would love to see your HL tho. But, strongly recommend using your sb a first few times. If it goes down, you will swim. If it goes down, it will take water, and if not drained well ...

Re: Foil kites on shorter lines

Thanks everyone for the great info. I'm not going to rush out and by shorter lines any time soon. I was just curious as to the benefits of shorter lines. I'll stick to my 22m lines for now.

Foil kites on shorter lines

Apologies if this has already been asked before. I'm about to get my Ozone Hyperlink tomorrow :D and this will be my first foil kite. I noticed that a number of riders, like Frank Rosin, are using short lines with foil kites. Could someone please explain the benefits of shorter lines? I'm assuming i...

Re: Nailed some tacks today, feels great!

Thanks for the advice and inspiration. I will start to work on my tacks tomorrow when I go out. I have a trainer kite so will practice on land with that as well.

Re: Nailed some tacks today, feels great!

Good job - I'm envious. I'm 12 months into foiling now and can gybe on the fly with ease including flying stance changes. However, I've been procrastinating on learning to do tacks. I want to start with tacking to toe side and 360s, but I really don't know where to begin. The few I've attempted wher...

Re: What got you into Hydrofoiling?

I'm another dinghy racer. Spent ages 14 to 16 racing Moths and Cherubs. Then learnt to windsurf at 18 and did that constantly until age 28 when we had kids and moved overseas. 12 years living in Queenstown NZ had me sink my teeth into snowboarding and fly fishing. Moved back to Perth, Western Austra...

Re: Nigel no mates

^ Would you tell Toby this? How primitive look his tricks? C'mon...You were never on 10% of his level (apologizes if you were). Even Plummet says truthfully that himself was never into tricks, just boosting. Be fair to yourself and say how many times we were approached with the statement: that look...
