Re: best SUP for super light wind kiting

Thanks for your advice and you frank speaking. Kite Supping (if feasible) would be for me an enjoyable alternative to windsurfing, while still giving me the opportunity of being out in the open, exploring the surroundings and enjoying the freedom of unconfined spaces... It would help me in my choic...

Re: Question for Toby

Amazing that there are those of us that think this way. Here is how you kill a forum (I mean is the below even still considered a fourm???) With that being said, I am giving everyone fair warning... We will no longer allow bashing/badmouthing of any person, NEFGA member, business, organization, stat...

Re: best SUP for super light wind kiting

Great videos. Any ideas of the kites sizes in the videos? Are the 2 lines easily water relaunchable, like the 3lines ? Thanks Ittiandro You are still trying to make your kite experience harder AND less exciting. No one teaches kiteboarding to beginners on SUP's for good reason - no one would want t...

Re: HQ kites are a bad joke

..... because he identifies himself as "Chris-HQ Kites" and invites our disgruntled Snowkitejoe to contact him “ to see-in his words-what he can do”. If so he is probably my best bet to have my questions answered. I hope he will see my post and take the time to answer my questions.. Ittiandro I'll ...

Re: Help repairing twintip edge/rail

.... I just know with system 105 fillers definitely make my patches last longer maybe it's just more flexible. Flexibility is reduced when adding long filler fibers of greater bonding strength than epoxy itself. Think of one piece of plastic with lots of reinforcing fibers, and one without. Without...

Re: Help repairing twintip edge/rail

so adding cotton flox to epoxy doesnt make it stronger? It is used as a thickening filler that still allows wetting of the surfaces to be bonded. This is especially important for wood that accepts lots of infiltration of the epoxy into the wood surface. If you use high density filler, there would b...

Re: HQ kites are a bad joke

I definitely would consult the ancient wisdom contained in early posts by PumpMeUp before attempting to fly an HQ hydra. Ohhhhh snap! Let's not get pumpy involved here. Just me hoping to save some time. Funny thing about this post is it is airing the old laundry that saw HQ take tons of business aw...

Re: Help repairing twintip edge/rail

If you go with g-flex I would still use some sort of filler. I don't like filling these sorts of holes with raw epoxy, as pure epoxy is actually pretty fragile by itself. Epoxy gains all its strength when you mix it with some sort of filler. Yes, epoxies can gain some (types of) material strength f...
