Re: Havent been kiting for over a month..... Dont care!

"How can I miss you if you don't go away?" said I to an ex-girlfriend.

Re: Havent been kiting for over a month..... Dont care!

I guess nobody here recognizes a cry for help when they hear one. Hope the OP is staying sane and thinking biking is doing it for him until the wind comes up again. And just like Toby, I too limit my other activities that could see me injured to the point where I can't kite. Also, I am really good a...

Re: kitesurfing

First off, change the title to say "Ozone bar with North Evo" and add "compatibility" if you want to be specific. Second, tell us the year of the gear, or at least take a pic and post it so we have a chance of figuring it out. 1. Older North Quad bars had a MID "Y" up about 15 ft or so. North 5th El...

Re: Is anyone else buying carbon credits to offset CO2 from travel?

Bam my arse. Hey, I won't judge. To each his own. But my point flew right over you head. A low risk IS a risk. And every fish carries a risk. How low of a risk would you consider dangerous for your unborn granddaughter/grandson? Should your daughter or daughter-in-law eat lots of fish out of the No...

Re: Is anyone else buying carbon credits to offset CO2 from travel?

The CO2 influences/absorbs sunlight maybe ? Like shade ? I don't think that between you and me we will be closing any cases. Close, but the science is in the details, not the big picture. Sunlight comes through the atmosphere at a shorter wavelength (UV), passing right through "greenhouse" gasses. ...

Re: Another which kite? post

Here is a link to a pretty long discussion about used vs new. But it covers all of the bases.

Re: Is anyone else buying carbon credits to offset CO2 from travel?

Would you provide links that provide proof that " almost every fish [is] dangerous to eat for pregnant women"? Thanks. Bam! I can. There is some danger in every single exposure to a toxin. Ooops, let me make that more clear. There is some STATISTICAL danger in every single exposure to a toxin. That...

Re: Busted Rib

Question I have is, can you still knock out the rolls and loops with a seat safely or is it quite prohibitive doing these kind of moves compared to a waist? Yes, they are slightly different in feeling given the physics of a lower hook point. But you can do pretty much anything with a seat that you ...

Re: Making some new lines..

Wet the lines before you sew. And sew slow. But the advice to splice is the best. If you do a simple splice with stitching, not a locked splice that would not require stitching, it is easy to adjust your line legnth. But if you stretch properly and methodically (you would need some equipment), good ...

Re: Another which kite? post

I would shy away from both. The Rebel is a 5th line in that year. Having the loaded 5th line bar is super safe, but a pain if you don't know how to set the "loaded 5th" line to shape the kite. And at this age, it could be way out of tune. The Switchblade was a pretty solid kite on a 4line bar. But t...
