Re: lightwind surfboard

Both flat rocker and volumme works for low wind. Thats why skims work, they may not hace such a big surface but are flat. Similar to what happens with the shinnster, It is not super big but flat and also works great in light wind having really low volumme (twintip construction) I checked yesterday ...

Re: Don't buy a Core kite before you read this!

“Building”your own lines? 😂😂You weave them your self do you? What from angels hair and fairy wings? Linesets, actually. I make them out of Jerry Brown 800lb Dyneema. Fortunately, it is already braided and ready to be spliced. I do have to "un-braid" some of the Jerry brown for use as serving on my ...

Re: Don't buy a Core kite before you read this!

Welcome to the world of Coreporate kiteboarding! You have lots more fun ahead of you. Then later, you start building your own stuff such as linesets, replacement bridal links, and sometimes even plastic parts. The 3 stages of kite issues - denial, anger, acceptance.

Re: lightwind surfboard

Hi Ilog, I am 85 kg, and ride only directionals since years. Currently own two, a thinner 6.0 for the good wind days, and a shorter and wide 5,4 for the light ones. I have tried different boards, not only surfboards but also skims. Recomend you to try a skim, is a complete different feeling and rea...

Re: Don't buy a Core kite before you read this!

That is a perfect example of The Pot Calling The Kettle Black ! Look below, you have scattered extraneous and incorrectly placed commas through your post like confetti floating in the air after a mass wedding. And wait! Your reference to "scattered extraneous and incorrectly placed commas thr...

Re: lightwind surfboard

I wanna start with the directional and I am fairly new to kiteboarding. So you have some TT experience? That is what I will assume. The best reason to dedicate some time to learning a surfboard is that you are no longer "happy" with the way a TT feels. Or, you just want to try a surfboard. My sugge...

Re: Don't buy a Core kite before you read this!

First off Chill the f*** out. Please don't apply an angry tone to my post. It started as a "lighthearted" poke at the actual, and deplorable, thing(s) that Graeme F was posting. But Graeme F doubled down and did not retract/apologize for his statements. And for years, his track record is to not apo...

Re: Don't buy a Core kite before you read this!

Matteo The words In bold were written by someone else, not by captain core. He was pointing out the stupidity of being called out for poor grammar by the person that wrote the section in bold. First off, I did not call him out on his grammar. He did that to sidestep my direct question of whether he...

Re: Why do I need a much bigger board AND bigger kite for a heavier rider?

Sure, absolutely agreed. No one can find all the variables. A bit like big models (like climate models for example). Put it this way - if I put on 20 kg of lead weight on the same 75 kg boarder - what should increase in board and kite size be (the same kite and board make/variant)? Roughly as an ed...
