Re: I need convincing too:) Bar back lines!

Depending on the location, one might never need thick lines. Also, the back lines are quite thick near the bar for holding, so not a problem for the rider. It is becoming evident that you may be one of those people that needs to learn by experience, not advice. Your initial and further questions ha...

Re: Advice for a beginner

......As an example, the Slingshot Rally would be a fine choice, but the Slingshot RPM or Fuel (hybrid-c and c-style kites) would not be good for you...... I have recommended the RPM to a few beginner kiters. One, who did struggle with it for a while, is happy now and a Rally would be holding him b...

Re: Is Wakestyle dead?

There's quite a few people who ride the Vegas at my spot in Rio, but the number of folks who actually practice wakestyle tricks is next to zero. Every now and then I'll see someone who's clearly a beginner on a Vegas and ask them why. It's amazing how much misinformation gets passed around. Pretty ...

Re: I need convincing too:) Bar back lines!

Fair enough, 5% of what? :) A lot of it depends on rider weight right? So, atm we have 'one size fits all'... 5% of total pull of the system - 5kg goes to the back lines (what you feel in your arms) and 95kg goes to your harness through the front lines. The exceptions noted by edt are very much val...

Re: North Pro Session Surf chop

Will a Pro Session be good for chop or does anyone have other suggestions? This is a very complicated issue, and I am just going to complicate it more for you. Best bet is to buy a board and just work with it until you make it work. So you may want to stop reading here. I do not like thrusters stra...

Re: Is Wakestyle dead?

And with strapless surfing, you can push yourself as much as you want on a technical level, it's just so much more flow and less hurt ;) Yup, just hit 40 and I was averaging 1 "month recovery +" injury a year with straps on the surfboard. Gonna be hard to tone it down and go strapless again. Hopefu...

......the guy who feels it necessary to drop the "first world problems" saying here.

I mean, I think this is the exact point where I am going to no longer use that saying myself - just too over done.

Re: Kite Manufacturing - free feedback

Oh I got one! Graphics should not be printed to the fabric especially on the leading edge using a process called hot split plastisol. It is notorious for pealing off over time. That kite my profile picture looked great at first but the graphic detail was half pealed off in two years. That is the op...

Re: SupaEZ Where have you been?

I made the experience that those pros and top riders on here got flammed by wannabees and therefore didn't come back. Sounds like a little disconnect between "forum" and "real life". Forum - Pretty much typing words to explain what we do and how we do it, as well as why we think it "is". Real life ...

Re: Researching kiteboarding locations

Denver is not a bad place to snowkite out of. Honestly, Salt Lake City UT is better as it is close to Skyline. Denver is not a great place to water kite. The winds are pretty unpredictable coming off of the back side of the mountains around Denver. Most Denver kiters go to Nebraska to kite Lake McCo...
