Re: I need convincing too:) Bar back lines!

It would be interesting to know how much normal use does weaken them over time, ie whether there is actual data out there. Or maybe I'll just find out one day as I drop screaming into the water...

Re: I need convincing too:) Bar back lines!

If you guys could let us know who is having handbags with who that would be lovely. Your logic seems to make sense, although I'm not sure how much well cared for lines wear / lose their tensile strength over time? I'm unfortunately enough in full-time employment so perhaps the frequency I get out ma...

Re: I need convincing too:) Bar back lines!

Flysurfer must feel that thinner lines are worthwhile for reduced drag and better handling, and also safe for all types of riding, since their standard lines are the same spec as Ozone race lines. I don’t think there is anywhere on their website which suggests the lines are expected to have a shorte...

Re: I need convincing too:) Bar back lines!

Difference between 160kg and 200kg back lines is pretty minimal...
I think I would be more nervous if I was a chunky f***er - at 65kg I'm pretty happy with either 300/200 lines for my Flysurfer or 500/300 for my LEIs.

Re: I need convincing too:) Bar back lines!

Flysurfer standard lines on their Airstyle bar are 300kg front 200kg rear. Please don't try and tell me this is not intended for jumping!

Re: Race Control System - much better depower trim!

Yes but that wouldn’t be the case for a standard amount of depower trim though. My standard Ozone bar has 12cm of depower trim, with the double pulley this takes through about 20cm of rope (doesn’t seem to be exactly double for some reason!) 25cm of trim is way more than any normal riding would requ...

Race Control System - much better depower trim!

I ended up getting an Ozone Race control bar and lines to partner my new Flysurfer Soul (didn't like the FS bar) - surprised to find that the double pulley depower trim works way better (smoother,, less force required, more accurate adjustment) than a standard depower trim - why this isn't just used...
