Re: Bigger boost: Mono or Boxer?

I cant comment on either kite in question
But I can say that the lf solo definitely boosts awesome, via huge response to sheeting in. At least compared to some popular all around kites Ive owned in the past.

Re: Need info where to look for wind in April and May in DC area

Check out the “spots” section here on kiteforum site, use the map and just zoom in on your area. Theres quite a few marked with good info right around DC but those will likely be poor quality wind and launches being so far inland. Re: California seeks to regulate kite-boarding

Pennsylvania did a similar thing requiring canoes/kayaks to have an annual $10 registration sticker if using public access rivers/lakes/streams. Also imposing stricter rules on alcohol. It continues to be a debacle with big groups of drunk paddlers harassing a single officer at boat launches. The on...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Flite Gen 6 (2018)

This is a significant bump up in weight. Too bad! Im pretty sure everyone using these really appreciates the ultra light construction more than whatever (if any) durability is gained by adding it back on. In my experience light and heavy kites alike get damaged when abused. But the light one flies t...

Good top end/grip, rockered from nose to tail, Lively pop) 6’10 G&L (shortboard type outline only bigger and no rocker, excellent light wind performance) 9’ Grain Root (classic longboard shape, hollow wood, cedar/glass construction, if the kite is...

Re: light wind surfboard vs foil board

I don't feel held back by adding the longboard to the quiver of kiteboards. On the contrary it opens possibilities to more styles and conditions. Such as catching small unbroken swells with kite depowered, then getting upwind again, when only few minutes before, barely holding ground on 160cm door. ...
