Re: Slingshot Foot Hook vs NSI Foot Hooker

I have NSI Foot Hooker front and the old NSI Klingon back. For front, I like how I can press my foot under it to guide board for water start. Rear one is more something to press against, doesn't need much or any hook over top of toes. My only complaint is that the plastic base breaks pretty easy. I...

Re: Chinese KB Hydrofoil : 300 USD + shipment

I don't know the answer to this dilemma - it's not unique to just our sport in any case. I guess you need to accept with a cheaper option you forgoe any warranty and support if you break or damage it. That is a lot of value and shouldn't be underestimated. I agree strongly with this. Re: Freeride, strapless foil advice

Curiosity won and I got myself a and toy: Zeeke Spitfire paired with Dwarfcraft 54 board. I have had two sessions already. I am still a noob as I only started foiling earlier this year so my thoughts could be the same as for any beginner. Before Spitfire, I had old MHL Lift 2013 foil with low aspec...

Re: Beginner - buy gear or more lessons?

You are ok without an instructor if you have "outs" for the things that can go wrong. Some depend on you location and wind direction. 1. Can't go upwind. The "out" would be a downwind beach you can come on to and walk back upwind. 2. Crash and lose board. Be able to body drag upwind to it. If unable...

Re: Wear and tear on Zeeko Foil/Board/NSI foothooks

For me the 3mm inox support is perfect. Got 3 made for 25 Euros in total here in Tunesia - guess in Europe it will be 25 Euros each. It will still break above them, so safe but durable. But 35 Euros + 25 Euros (Slingshot + Inox) looks like a good price to me! Can you provide a link or more info on ...
