Re: Anti-slip material on foil board. Where to buy?

Just make sure you use caster sugar and not granulated. Granulated will give you a deck like 40 grit abrasive that will sand off the soles of your feet...I made that mistake once.

Re: Shinn el Stubbo Zeeko Aluminium 90cm Hydrofoil

Hi all, has anyone ridden the Shinn el Stubbo Zeeko Aluminium 90cm Hydrofoil? Would you recommend it? I'm looking to get into foiling. Have never foiled before but don't want to waste time on a 30 or 60cm mast, just want to get one hydrofoil for freeriding when the winds too light for wakestyle/the...

Cathay Pacific - Any good?

I'm planning a trip to Australia from the UK next November and I am thinking of flying Cathay Pacific. I will be taking my TT and two kites. Has anyone on here flown with them and with kit? They have a 32kg and 203cm total dimensions allowance. My board bag is on the 203cm mark so just wondering how...

Brilliantly clear, I'm just at the turning stage so it couldn't have come at a better time as it cleared up a lot of misconceptions. Thanks

Re: What are your Worst Accidents Hydrofoiling?

Twisted ankle due to foot not coming out of strap. I'm now using foot hooks so that problem is easily solved. I've also experienced lines in foil followed by deathloop. Seems a common one and would be interested to hear peoples thoughts on how to avoid it and what the best course of action is if it ...

Re: Controlling Height

With all that great advice to put into practice the wind went on holiday...typical. It finally returned today and I got out and put the bent front knee into practice and suddenly found I was controlling the height. Such a simple tip but it made such a big difference. Thanks.

Re: Controlling Height

I've no doubt it will click. When I think back to the first few sessions and the energy I used just to get the board into position to waterstart, then the struggle of riding with the board on the water. However, now these things are not a problem anymore. So I'm sure it will be the same with this. T...

Re: Controlling Height

You're right Dylan, I am tending to ride more upright. I know it's all down to time on the water and i feel i get a bit better each time out but slow progress. Being the only foiler here at the moment your advice is very useful.

Re: Controlling Height

Thanks for the tip about bent front knee, I can see how that will shift my body and apply more pressure.
