I’m not sure why you Blokes give DWX a hard time? If you don’t ask... you don’t learn, and you can’t tell me that none of you have had to ask a question.

Nice review Lindseym..

Re: 2018 North Rebel vs 2017 North Evo Review

Yup.. Bull$hit every year, from every manufacturer. I go to change settings on the kite and they read "direct - very direct" etc.... I always think bull$hit.. they should read "vague - somewhat vague" I was looking forward to the new Evo, but after seeing a couple of videos of it flying I don't thin...

Re: Rebel 2018 vs. Core XR5

If I need to lengthen lines mid session, I would be pumping up a smaller kite. I have no interest in using a kite in it upper limits, however I believe it is good to have the ability to dump most of the power in a kites upper limits... but that's just my preference.

Re: Rebel 2018 vs. Core XR5

Found the top end of the XR5 12m yesterday. A squall came through and at about 28 knots I had no more depower available either in the bar throw or trim. Kite was well behaved and manageable, however any more wind and I would have been dragged down the beach and having to hit the safety. A bloke land...

Re: Rebel 2018 vs. Core XR5

Question....

Do the direct / super direct setting options on the leading edge have an impact on turning?

Cheers..

Re: Rebel 2018 vs. Core XR5

I'm sure i could fold a XR5 12 sqm from wingtips to center faster neatly folded in 3 with my lines on.... ...than you can folding from wingtip to dump valve a 12 sqm Rebel not neatly in 3 with your lines on The race is on  I like what you did there Pullstrings.. Touche'! ...but I never leave m...

Re: Rebel 2018 vs. Core XR5

The XR5 has to be the quickest-to-set-up inflatable I have experienced.... however it is not the quickest to pack down. There are many reasons for this beyond the size of the valve and it has to do with ability to get the air out of the kite. Tubing for the struts gets pinched, leading edge and stru...

Re: Rebel 2018 vs. Core XR5

I also enjoy the immature dialogue .... name calling, tantrums and arguing over something so subjective...

BTW, Rebels pack up quicker with the deflate valve on the end... I have both the XR5 and an earlier model rebel.

Re: XR4 or XR5. Big differences ?

I recently purchased my first Core Kite to replace my 2013 Rebel...a 12m XR5 and initially regretted it as it felt boring, but now I love it and would describe it as extremely refined. Even though the fella in the video review states that it sits further back in the window, it still sits a lot furth...

Re: 2018 North Rebel vs 2017 North Evo Review

Sounds like to me you have no idea at all about the rebel nor loaded fifths, hence I also doubt your ability to compare kites...to be completely frank. Jebus Eppo... That's a bit harsh Bloke..especially when he was was only comparing a 2017 Evo against 2018 Rebel and stated that doesn't have experi...
