Re: Moving from F-one Bandit V to... Dice, Evo or Rebel?

I created this topic last year and found it buy accident today... So I decided to come back to tell my decision. After demos and etc, I ended up buying the bandit. The evo was very nice, but, well.. I am not a rich a guy and the evo was much more expensive than the bandit here in Brazil (+30%). I we...

Re: Cheapest Android wear water proof watch? Woo 3

My Huawei watch 2 has held up so far to twin tip and foiling usage. No massive crashes with it on though and probably only 15 or so sessions (or about the same time it took my Xensr to die). They seem to come up on special offer every now and again. I paid only a small premium over a ticwatch but g...

Re: Apple Watch Series 2...

Yes, the Jesse-video is what we Android Wear-users have had for a long time. And indeed it is displaying IMU-device reading over bluetooth realtime. I use it too with very cheap Sony Smartwatch-clock like Jesse does. About Android-wear version of clock-only height metering like this topic is right ...

Re: Atins, Brazil Kiting in Late December?

Our wind season (in northeast Brazil) is at its best in September. From January to June we have rain and weak winds (Of course, even from jan to June you can find some days to kite.. ) So in the nye you will be right in the transition, end of season. But note that Atins is a very windy place. In Sep...

Re: Protection against the sun

I see a bunch of people here in northeast Brazil kitesurfing all day long without any kind of protection but the sunscreen. Maybe they don't care because they are tourists that will be here for just a few days or weeks,... But me.. I live here, and my father had skin cancer, so I always tried to be ...

Re: Thoughts on the Jamie board

I am 68kg and I have a jaime 132x39.5 (2009). I use this board since 2010 and I can say I am very happy with it. The board lasted all this time and is still in good condition. I had to replace the handle and the foot straps sometime ago, but that was it. Sometimes I get myself thinking that this boa...

Re: broken line causes kite damage

I once had a problem in one of my front lines when I was very far from the beach. It was a nightmare... the kite started looping uncontrollably and crashed. I ended up having to use a self rescue technique (swam to the kite and grabbed it.. then sailed back to the shore). After a while I found out t...

Re: Apple Watch Series 2...

249usd for the Woo is a joke... I bought a top notch android watch (huawei watch 2) for less than that, 230usd. I can track my runs, bike rides, sync everything to strava, and I can install a bunch of apps from Google play store. For kitesurfing I usually remove the armband, put the watch in a bag ...
