Re: This is going to be something Big!

Well said, Gunnar. I think a documentary around a single event will be too much of an advertisement or promotional piece. I also won't be surprised if a big donor who has more to gain steps in during the waning days to complete the funding.

Re: PROBLEM, A call for help for our fellow kiter, Mila

Mila, may you have a successful treatment and recovery. It's great to see people and sponsors come to the aid of a friend or stranger! Perhaps there will be more support if the diagnosis is less vague than a painful "leg condition". This way, the community can see how their donations and the surgery...

Re: Eclipse Kites 2009

Wally, I'm stoked to hear that your kites (hopefully a demo or 2) will be gracing our beaches soon! I know you're put off by negativity towards your kite family, but you gotta realize that this thread started out as a commercial by Eclipse with quotes like "coming soon" and "The kites will be availa...

Re: Ripped off by Caution and Baja Joe's! - Solved!

Oops, my bad for thinking of a quick release failing to release as bar failure? I don't want to burn any bridges here, but it seems to me that much of the disagreement here is related to the emotional side instead of the facts (or perceived facts).

Re: Ripped off by Caution and Baja Joe's! - Solved!

Cautionsantacruz, in your description of this issue, I believe you forgot to mention a key element, that portion(s) of the 4 year old bar broke/failed. It's too bad the original thread was removed. I hate to see censorship like this, especially when it involves commercial entities who may advertise ...

Re: Big News from Eclipse

Are we allowed to post bogus subject lines, especially when they're so commercial? The subject reads 'Big News', but there is absolutely no news here?

Lost Bar, orange lines, at the South Padre Flats

Left our black Slingshot bar with bright orange lines by the water at the North Flats of South Padre Island today (Friday, November 28th). Thanks for helping us get it back in exchange for plentiful beer.

Re: No Kite Leash ---> Broken Neck

Is the kiter who's at fault helping to pay the bills? BTW, flying kite bars can also land a heavy blow. Mine did $800 of damage to the door of a Lexus once.

Are rings a danger when handle passing?

I have always kited with my wedding ring, but is it a hazard when blindly reaching for my bar during handle passes? Has anyone had a bad experience with their jewelery?
