Hi Hank, Good to hear from you. I totally remember snow kiting at Slide Lake with you and Mike and trying to kitesurf on Jackson Lake right in front of the dam in 2004!Still flying those FlySurfers? The local crew has gotten bigger and we have figured out more cool spots to kite. You can check them o...

Re: Crescent Mountain in the Abseroka's...Amazing Terrain!

Hey JR, I managed to sneak around the side of the cornice and drop in. Cornices can break loose and start big avi's, so standing on them or jumping off of them is never a good idea. We had avalanche equipment with the sleds, but chose to leave the shovel and probe and just run the transceiver once w...

Video PowderDay on Tosi Peak, WY JHK

Checkout this POV video from our back country adventure to Tosi Peak.
I managed to kite up and ski down the NW face a couple times.
Great snow in a remote location.

Whoa. If I am not mistaken, Crabnebula is a professional mountain guide.Wayne, you and I kited with him back in 2005. I grew up back east and have climbed on Cannon cliff, Cathedral ledge and the Presidential range, including Mt. Washington. I can tell you that it is no joke, people die there all th...

Re: Another DEEP day at Haggin

The last pic of Archer is siiiiick!!! Tunneling through the pow like Bugs Bunny looking for that left turn to Albuquerque. The sustained tunneling is only possible via snowkite. Nice work boys!

Pressure Drop

This is in response to the gliding/flying post from Wayne. I think flying continues to evolve and is not stagnate like some people claim. My buddies and I have been sheeting the bar all the way out while in the air. This causes you to drop like a rock and reach the top end speed of your kite. If you...

Re: How safe do you think gliding off big hills with a kite

I have been thinking about this post for a few days and I think I have a few points. First, people should know that I have been gliding for three or four years now and it is pretty exhilarating. 1. The question we should be asking is not is gliding dangerous. It is. Why? Mainly because the current g...

Re: 2011 Ozone C4 as a Snowkite

Great Videos! I got my 2011 C4 13m in December and have had about a half dozen snow sessions. Love the new valve. It doesn't freeze up in cold weather and makes it easier to pump up the kite. The 2011 is definitely beefier than the 2010 and you can really feel it in the loops. :cool2: Typical great ...
