Re: KAP with 30 inch kite

KAP = kite aerial photography?
Given enough wind and strong line that kite would do. But why not get a 4-liner you could steer for the perfect pic?

Re: New Switch kite pulls to the right?

I once had a Monkey kite that had been stitched badly: the 'tube' segments for the leading edge had each been rotated by 1 stitch down one side... So by the time the 6 or so segments on the right side were connected, it was 6 stitches out/twisted at the wing tip.. This meant the damn thing was like ...

Why no Rob Douglas?

Let us know please...

Otherwise you run the risk of looking like a bunch of self-indulgent children in your own corner of the playground.

Speedkiting: best angle to the wind etc.?

Hi, I'm about to start training for Weymouth Speed Week, and as a balls-out speed novice, all tips gratefully received... - What angle do Speedkiters get their best speeds at? At a guess I'd imagine 90+45degrees = 135 - Slowing down after a run is it better to: a) Point the board at the kite and run...

Re: Selection of equipment for the Olympic Kiteboarding Even

I'd vote Box rule, but competitors must use the same quiver (say max of 5 kites, 3 boards) over a spread of disciplines: - Course Racing - Freestyle - Pure Speed over 500m Highest combined score wins. Kinda like a Triathlon for Kiters to show who really has the full monty.... also averages out any a...

Re: Dumb Bille

Bille, Excuse my ignorance, but I'm looking at your prosthetic wondering if there's a way to improve your connection to the board... I'm thinking - You have a conventional foot down there, but with no ankle control, it's just an accessory. - You are driving all the power from the kite through your t...

Re: RSX is taking legal action against ISAF

I can see why the Americans voted for kitesurfing to be retained in the Olympics. http://video.msnbc.msn.com/the-last-wor ... 5#48431865 Remarkable... Where to start... - Confusing John Kerry's kitesurfing with windsurfing - Showing a kitesurfer (Kerry) whilst babbling about windsurfing equipment -...

Re: The biggest a-hole on Kitebeach 2010

It's like watching a nervous poodle chasing a butterfly, barking at shadows and sniffing his own arse.
Love the dog-leash he's anchored himself to the board with. Very clever. No wonder he's so trigger happy with the QR, a guided missile launches itself at him every time a gust hits the beach.

Re: Need tips for not getting dragged downwind please.

Ichiban, Your problem is parking the kite... don't... that's why the kite is flying to the edge of the window and losing power.... Keep working the kite.. You should be Sining it (up and down in the wind window like a soft 'M' pattern in the sky...) that will keep the kite in the power zone whilst y...
