Re: 2018 Cabrinha Switchblade 10m Issue’s

Not sure of 2018 but my 2017 was hurting my elbows, sold it and got gts4, could not be happier, low end is not as good but overall so much nicer kite a very strange comparison. Might be a Core dealer..... :bye: Doesn't matter, Cores are a lot easier on one's arms, especially the GTS-es. SB has alwa...

Re: Advise on true wind range of 12m Cabrinha Switchblade 2016

Reference 2015 versus 2016 kite. 2013-2015 Switchblade is the same wing with modifications to construction technique and a new bridle for each of those years. Don't discount new bridling - it makes big changes to a kite's performance. Just ask someone that owns both a 2013 and 2015 Switchblade. 201...

Get a stick on Foil Mount, for kite foiling they work great, not so good for Sup foiling,
go to Foilmount.com or Houston kiteboarding, they are great guys and good service.

Re: Moving To Miami?

Umm... Palm Beach as well. I'm 17 ft. above sea level, so I'm not sure about the entire city being underwater. Certainly the sewer system won't work well without pumps, etc. and the Biscayne aquifer will be contaminated with seawater (I believe Palm Beach is supplied by this aquifer). Also, FL is a...

Re: Nick Jacobsen sets Tow Up world record at 277 meters

Nick Jacobsen sets Tow Up world record at 277 meters Nick flew his kite 277 meters (908.8 feet) high in the sky with the help of Team Brunel, a sailing team who competes in the Volvo Ocean Race. Nick did it on his 2018 Cabrinha Switchblade. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PdpE1UldAc https://www.yo...

Re: Moving To Miami?

I love Miami Beach, one of the best places in the world for foiling. That being said, I would never want to own property there - with current sealevel rise the entire city could be underwater within decades, sadly! https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2017-12-29/south-florida-s-real-estate-recko...

Re: Beginner kites with the best safety systems?

I guess it's a tradeoff between the two with the fixed point perhaps being easier to learn with vs the rope bringing the bar closer to the body. Or one could also use a smaller harness loop or a system like Fireball that is already about 8cm closer to the body without any tradeoff. The Fireball bri...

Re: Beginner kites with the best safety systems?

While I agree with your comments on the cloud system, and I believe the cloud system needs to be under tension to release which would not be awesome (someone can clarify), but I would never recommend a rope slider system to a beginner for a myriad of reasons not limited to the addition of one extra...
