Re: Best bankrupt?

I can confirm that Peter has left, he told me personally this week. Maybe everyone else there should leave and start again, and do it like it was four years ago before the current owner got involved.

Great service, great kites, great prices and good times. Seems like so long ago.

Re: Best bankrupt?

It's been a while since I was on the forums but some of you will probably remember me. When BEST started out they went direct to consumer, so this isn't that different. What is different is that virtually none of the people who ran the company back then are left, and those who are left... So here's ...

Re: How is Best doing these days ?

Fabrics have improved, uv resistance has improved, reinforcements have improved.

Bladder material is still basically the same as it ever was.

Re: How is Best doing these days ?

They make their kites at a coupe of places, Neil Pryde (Cabrinha) being one of them. The truth to the rumour is this. NP make some sizes of the TS for BEST. They've had bladders problems all season. BEST refused to accept a delivery of kites on the basis of QC and refused to pay, naturally. NP and C...

Re: VKWC News: Termination of contract between IKA and PKRA

There's no doubt it's a mess at the minute with lots of 'he said' she said' taking place. Well see how it pans out. Kitesurfing isn't yet a big enough market to attract serious sponsors from outside of the industry, until it is these events rely on lots of smaller businesses coming together or large...

Re: VKWC News: Termination of contract between IKA and PKRA

Over the years there’s been a lot of changes in the national and international organisation of kitesurfing competitions. Organisations have come and gone, some have lasted the course and some have been squeezed out of contention by lack of resources, poor organisation or straight up mismanagement. W...

Re: Richard Branson and Best investor buy PKRA

That's an interesting move the PKRA don't have the financial muscle to make themselves into the ASP, so hopefully this will see kiting gain wider exposure without too much disruption to the format that the riders love. Something has to be done, global kite sales topped out years ago so you need some...

Re: Do you think you jump high?

Nah, fdvj's jump is no more than 25 feet. Funny thing about wide angle lenses and slowed down video footage, they make even good jumps looks truly mega.
