Re: Riding finless

The most cool finless board I remember was a small JL single HUGE concave board that threw a huge spray. Because It had no fins and was small requiering you to be very powered, the unbroken spray (no fins to break it) was just beautiful... If someone has a video I would like to remember that...

Re: Folding a Kite

Thanks El Rudo! I believe we can have techniques that are apropriate for specific models. I tried the approach on my 2010 Helix and it didnt exactly work because of the stiff and batented tips. You usually have to fold a kite when you are exausted, cold, windy, and dirty. Brands should better inform...

dead arm

Same happened to me. Dead arm, bursitis, and a small piece of cartilage broken. That lead to an arthroscopy and 5 months without sailing. It happened because of a bow kite with a heavy bar. Today I sail C kites on the knot or a Hybrid, on waves or gusty, "Helix" 1:1 with heavy use of the stopper bal...

Is the fin slot compatible with any other fin manufacturer?
Does North sell the 07 finset?

I have last years 5'5" and like it when well powered.
I have to sail with my back foot off the strap a lot.
I wonder how bouth boards compare not in measures but in actual sailing.

Weighting 100 kg I am seriously considering the board.
Would like some input of people who ACTUALLY rode it.
Thank You

Helix

GIGI,
Helix kites work better with some wind.
I way 100 kg and use the 12 with 14 knots up.
I used to use a 16m "C" in the same conditions so the 12 IS faster.
Who cares if it is a BMW, AUDI, MERCEDES.
The Helix is one of these, really nice, and for shure not a FORD.

I got myself a 12 and a 9. They are fast! Found them fast in 1:1, faster in 2:1. They need some getting used to in terms of timing. Maybe an 18" bar would of been enough. Definately the now kid on the block, almost an attraction. Definately worth the investment even for a "C" kite flyer. There are c...
