Hi Ralph, unfortunately the pics from the group can't be inserted in this forum. Just copy and paste the link. I attached my shackle with a line (I think the rest of an old safety leash) to my harness. I did some knots and now it is on top of the harness. the good thing about attaching it with a lin...

Don't worry about sponsors next year. Compare it to snowboarding: at the beginning they were alone and after 3(?) years they had more sponsors than skiing. Keep monitoring this forum and read the reports about crowded beaches and events. Then you can tell what will happen next year. Toby PS: you wil...

I never tried stonker yet, but they are available in many countries. I'm from Germany and the boards are available here. But I want to try the Highway to Hell to be able to judge it. I don't think it is a good idea, since a good board doesn't need four footstraps or like other TT's a fifht fin. Mayb...

you pull the red ball at the depower loop. This cuts the loop from the depower lines. the bar goes off and only the safety will stay on the depower loop still attached to your harness. this way the only one line will be pulled and the kite opens the whole way, since the safety is attached to ONE dep...

I don't understand the red ball neither. Maybe it prevents the line to go further through the eye. This way it doesn't open itself. But I would do some changes to the system from Axelair: you always want your hands to be free (if you are advanced). So don't use the wrist strap, but use the red ball....

Rob, you may be right. But it always depends on the situation. Sometimes you get out without a problem, sometimes not. But Rick is right in saying that you always have to check the gear first. And NEVER hurry up too much, specially when using new gear!!!! Always take your time with the setup and do ...

Hey guys, relax.
Everyone is different and wants something different. For one person it is boring, for the other perfect.
And what is a real kiteboarder?
I think it is good to have choices where to stay. And definite people going to Cabarete will check both hotels and sites.

I wouldn't say it is a better choice than the Rhino, since this is an intermediate kite. The Rhino should develop more power for jumping and the Toro is better to restart and doesn't have too much power for better control.
It is another option for the Aero and Wipika's Hydro.

Hey Joe, don't tell us it was a coincidence that you dropped the kite there. Next time you should watch the kite while passing the beach....
