Re: crazyfly raptor pro ltd size?

If your concern is chop then go 136. I have a lot of chop and could have gone 132 or 135. I went 135 and the extra lenght so much better for chop and waves. I actually had a 140 Nobile 50 which worked extremely well in chop, which is when I learnt length plays and important role in there type of con...

Re: Foil board or big kite for light winds?

I say big kite too. At your weight it has some usable range. I'm about 178 and my 17m was good to about 8-15 knots. But really uncomfortable any higher.

Foils looks cool , but tricky, also kinda awkward to transport. They always have broken down unless you got a truck

Re: Ozone Race Bar saved my life

I feel for you. Should be lots of kiters, ask around, I suspect there is someone there that has the skills set and materials to fix you up. Probably replace that part of the bridle, so you can kite for the rest of your Vacation. Just be sure the repair is solid.

Re: Barbados hotel recommendations for solo traveller

just go back from a vaca in barbados. If you want to hang with kiters you need to be a silver sands , and it definitely the best spot: easy the get to the reef break and although wind direction can vary a bit, wind direction seems to be very good for usual wave direction. I would try and stay close ...

Re: Barbados ex Silver Rock

Thanks for the replies. I kited at both Long beach and Silver Sands a lot last year, my pals want to explore new spots, so I just took a chance throwing out the question. As for soup bowl, I'm sure the surfer won't mind giving up a few waves for us kiters…right.. :) Probably just grab a burger at th...

Barbados ex Silver Rock

Heading out in a little while and will definitely hit Silver Rock and LOng Bay, but would like to know if there are any other good kite spots I should try this year?

We'll also visit the soup bowl, not sure if we'll attempt to kite there. Probably just check out the surf scene.

Thanks

Re: Patagonia wetsuits

I looked at both the Patagonia (R3) and O'neill psychofreak 4.5mm, and went with the Psychofreak. I think Patagonia make the most durable and warmest wetsuits, but the Psychofreak is very warm for it's weight, very flexible, comfortable and pretty light too. I've used it down to 6 degrees C air and ...

Re: Mobile NHP vs Shinn Monk Forever

I have a 2011 monk and a 2013 XTR, but I've also test ridden the 2013 NPH and owned a 2011 Nobile 50. I have a bad knee and ride in chop every session, and it works really well for those conditions. There is something about the pad set up, rocker and flex that just works for me and my bad knee. Even...
