Re: US/Global recession and kite sales?

Over the last 28 years, I've noticed better board sales when the economy is poor.

People will hold on to their car for another year, or put off buying a new house, but they won't give up their toys.

This is a good thing! :)

Re: Liquid Force Comp Straps

Not sure if this was mentioned, but they are WAY lighter than last years straps (the pads are the same).

Warning....they come with only one set of screws -- 1/4 X 20, so if your board is metric, beware.

Re: 12 Year Old, 45kg Rider, What kite and board ?

For a board I had him built a Rogue Wave 120x32. I know this isn't an option for everyone but works awesome. Hi Al Thanks very much for the plug -- it's always appreciated! I hope you're enjoying the winter -- summer's coming soon. Please keep in touch! Lee [Whoops....I meant this as a PM to Al -- ...

That's a nasty pic -- thanks for sharing [hurl] can we get a neoprene boot maker to make a light, confortable kiteboard shoe that has a layer of kevlar in the undersole? That would take care of just about anything. Kirk That's a really good idea! There are many weaves of Kevlar (or Spectra) that wou...

Rogue Wave is looking for team riders in SK.

You don't have to be a pro level rider, but you do have to be on the beach often, be friendly, and have a good attitude which will help promote our boards.

Please e-mail a brief resume to:

teamrider@roguewaveboards.com

Thanks!

In our experience, custom boards built with 6 lb density Corecell and the correct glassing for the rider, are virtually impossible to break. Many production boards are built using cheaper foams which don't stand up as well unless they're glassed heavily. As Hein said, there are many different variab...

http://www.4wfs.com/index.php?p=home They look pretty good, although they are rare in North America at this time. I use Future Fins in my kite-surfboards and they are quite tough. One thing when looking at a system is to make sure that there are replacement fins available at your local surf shop (o...

Maybe your inserts are just too close together?

Some production boards have inserts set way too close to each other.

You may need to have some extra inserts installed (7" --18cm) wide instead of looking for larger straps.

Just a thought ;)
