Re: newkite

The top pic is the Alibi and the bottom pic is the OS, both from NEW kiteboarding, based in Western Australia. Here's the link: http://www.newkiteboarding.com/ I have the 7m NEW OS kite, recently got it, really happy with it, turns very fast, flies forward fast and 3 struts so nice and light and flo...

Hey Dimitri,

So when are your kites coming down under to OZ, I am looking for a light wind fast turning kite for a surfboard.

Re: New Brand: Epic Kites

Nice looking kites, but spoiled them putting front line pulleys on, the weakest part of the kite now - could you not put enough R&D in to avoid this. Looks like most manufacturers have gone full circle from 2006/7 with the front line pulleys on their 2010 kites - :nono: Still would love to try them,...

Re: ripstop

Mylar tape - usually from a windsurf shop or sail shop, fine for small tears etc. just put two rounded over sized patches either side. The alternative is white/ opaque sail tape (ripstop type pattern on it) once stuck on coloured cloth usually takes on a lighter colour of the original. I find the My...

Re: I need a new harness, waist, for waveriding. Please help

Hey FabsPH, My Dakine Pyro does the same thing to me. What I did was stick on some wide adhesive plaster until it healed and then used a Triathlon Tri suit so that it does not ride up - just put on a rashie and shorts otherwise everbody will look at you squiff. The plaster is a bit of a mission to g...

Re: Stoked on Strapless, Pass it on.

Nice one, Congrats. Follow your passion.

I wish I was 16 again.

I see in the pics an EH OV, what do you think of it, has Felix tried it out, does it have similar attributes to the Generator or Surge?

When are we going to get online training for all the aerial acrobatic stuff ?

Cheers

Re: Eclipse Kites 'The Surge' - The Revolutionary C Kite

I don't know about the 09 Nano but the 08 was not a easy user friendly kite. In gusts you always had to be vigilant to prevent it from overflying. I find my 08 Nano 9 out of 10 times when crashed gets inverted. I found it to be not a refined kite, with the angular struts (which I feel is partly to b...
