Re: 2013 Blade Fat Lady

Always funny that debate on sub 8 knots wind kiting. I have friends with 10 years of kiting in the body and a great technic : it's impressive what they can do with a Flysurfer 21m and a raceboard. But this is a lot of commitment (read a lot of money) to ride in 5 knots and this is not my thing. One ...

Re: Blade's 5th Gen Trigger - A brand new profile shape

@ Ceasar : I think your is a 2011 but difficult to tell only with the chicken loop's picture. If the bar is green, it's a 2011, if the bar is black, it's a 2012 (see above pictures). I've made some tests on the 2012 bar and it QR releases at 11.5 kg (25 pounds). I know there's a non mandatory standa...

Re: Blade's 5th Gen Trigger - A brand new profile shape

@ Ceasar, Are you sure it was a Blade bar? What year? I bought my first Blade last year (Trigger 7m 2011) and I really liked how the kite flies. In 2012 I've change my hole quiver to Blade (4 kites/bars). I was not impressed by the look of the QR but it works! Even under load, it works as well as wi...

Re: Blade Kites, 2013 here we come

I'm eager to switch my 2012 Trigger quiver to the 2013. Any idea when Blade will be shipping the 2013 Trigger, with the new bar?

Hopefully, I will test them on the water before it freezes... it's getting cold in Canada these days!

Re: Fat Lady Extensions!!

I was thinking maybe 12 and 8, cause I would really like to have just 3 kites all in all, or will they be too far apart? Most often I don't like riding in winds over 30 knots anyway. This is a good option for a 3 kites quiver, espeacially if you don't go out above 30 knots and you choose a model wi...

Re: Fat Lady Extensions!!

What do you guys use as your next size, if you have a Fat Lady or another light winder? I'm choosing between 12 and 14. I think I can hold the Lady until 18 knots. Go with the 12m, too much overlap with the 14m. My quiver : FL 17m, Trigger 12m, 9m, 7m and I have only one board (Trax 2008 135x39). I...

Re: Fat Lady Extensions!!

Just came in from another super sweet ride on mu Fat Lady! That kite is just awesome! 10-15 knots of wind and I was going upwind like a rocket, doing unhooked tricks like raleys! I does come with 24 meter lines as standard! I wouldn't put longer extensions than 3-5 meters on it! Alohasurfer : I tot...

Re: Blade Kites 2012

@ Motion: From what I understand from Blade's user manual, lines should be the same lenght at full power (+/- 2''): http://www.bladekites.com/attach/283/285/976/1273.pdf I've been riding the 2011 and 2012 many times and no lines problems so far. I will check them this week and will get back to you.

Re: F-One Trax vs North Select vs Wainman Joke for soft land

I've been kiting for 5 years, I have no affiliation. Weight 175, riding style freestyle / freeride / wave. F-One Trax is a very good board. I have an old Trax, I've been trying many boards in order to change but I can't find a better board. Also consider the F-One TX5, which is almost the same board...
