biggest regret purchase

What's your biggest regret in buying? I'm thinking of all the cold weather neoprene stuff I've bought, I always found a use for it, spring hat, fall hat winter neoprene hats, gloves. There is one Pansh that never flew right for me (I have a 19 aurora (great) and a 10 aurora (trash)), but it was so c...

Ok thanks. I had gotten bad information on that I guess. I was told water first because on land you learn some bad habits that can be hard to change.

Re: Researching kiteboarding locations

First off I am 45 years old and have not spent one day in the water with a kite. I have always wanted to learn just never had the time and or finances. I am in a unique situation in that I live in Denver Denver? You should be snowkiting right now! Get it while it lasts. Easiest way to learn how to ...

Re: How dangerous is this?

What's the rule?? What's the rule?? Never kite further than you can swim back. Don't be stupid and be like this guy: http://www.kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=2396600 How dangerous is it? Lucky there was no fatality. I mean of course it depends on the child. If the child swims in the ocean every day ...

Re: Sandpaper edges of TT?

I sandpaper all my boards. By riding on the sand! Yeah, it does something. But I can't really notice it that much. Rocker and shape are lot more important than the edge. I say go for it round away. You probably won't notice the difference or if you do notice it, won't hurt the performance too much i...

Re: Would I learn faster by shortening the kite lines?

Don't shorten your lines. All the good air is up high. Near the ground it's not as good, it's weaker and gustier near the water. I don't know where you got that advice but it's bad. Don't be afraid of power, it's good and being well powered is the single easiest way to help you learn how to go upwind.

Re: Super simple very minimal bar/chicken loop system

problem with that system is if the bar is jammed against the qr you are screwed. for instance if a wave eats you and the chicken line wraps around the bar (no floaters so this makes it easier to happen) you can't push away the qr because there's no room. The control bar is jammed against the qr and ...
