Re: Do foil kites stay in the air better?

To answer this. It depends. For sure foil kite can be flown in 0kn wind just by giving pull via front lines. Pull distributes via front and back lines and mixer and typical foil flies beautiful on apparent wind. Then different question is foil kite design against front collapse. You'd take foil kite...

Re: Fly surfer soul wind range

So far I've not seen any LEI to match low wind foil performance. With Speed4 15m kite I could ride when 16-19m LEI do not take much steering input nor produce power. Nitro3, Rebel, Turbine, Xr1, Airush no-strut 18m2, Cloud 17, Juice 16, Dyno 18 .... I can name it all and probably PL would join the c...

Re: Packing up a foil kite with wet bar

I always pack my bar outside of kite and bag's kite compartment. Fs bag has mesh pocket on the side, I put it there. Also easy to take away and rinse.

Re: Woo3 and Xensr compared

Pemba, at scatter chart I turned on the equation for least distance trendline and got Woo3 => Xensr formula:

Xensr-m = 0.5377 * Woo3-m + 0,8039m :o

SI-m formula is to be resolved because I'd need the camera-rig..

Re: Woo3 and Xensr compared

PeaBody, The problem is that both device display results as meters or feet. Meters is SI-unit which is same everywhere, defined by light speed in vacuum. So if Woo tells 10 meters and Xensr tells 7 meters they are referring to SI-unit meter, not a score. I've years written in this forum that Woo sho...

Re: Woo3 and Xensr compared

Well we have this investigated. Cheapest action cams are 25€ in Amazon.de. Buy sewer plumming for 10m. Set 6 action cams from 5m to 10m and verify. Or creater accuracy install camera every 0.5m. I am even thinking if "stereo" view of cameras could be used to analyze greater range of jumps. You got c...

Re: Woo3 and Xensr compared

Ah now I see. I was not thinking your woosting announce with 11m but guys here locally selling certain brand kites.

They used woo2 with abandoned brand and then woo3 came at the same time with new brand of kites - these new kites jump higher. When only thing is w3 reporting higher than w2..

Re: Woo3 and Xensr compared

I think Xensr is gone unless they can make a business case with smartwatch kitejump software. But now it is available only on Apple swatches. Business would be like $5/month fee for watch software and social site. Woo business case is to sell new hardware every year. But still it is interesting to c...

Re: Woo3 and Xensr compared

Kami, I see you publish your Woo3 stats on Facebook. For sure I did post mine 7.2m as a part of the game and will be posting in the future as I now also have the Woo3. I just want to open up discussion that probably 11.3m posting on facebook might mean 8m in SI-units and probably 8-9m on Xensr-meter...
