Re: Board North Free Race ?

Hello everyone. I have your answer for North Freerace because it is my favorite board !! I have ridden this board over 40 times!! First it is twin fin 14cm (5 1/2") base 10.5cm (4 1/8") so it tracks upwind SupaEZ yet it is "skatey" and turns on a "dime" when carving a jibe to toeside or if you do a ...

Summer Reality Check for Infinity #? title

The truth nothing but the truth so help me wind god. To all fairness lets leave high performance "ultra low" wind foils (flysurfer, spleene, etc) out of this. This is a "common sense" List of Tube kites that have the most low end "juice". Core XR2 19M ,North Dyno 18M,Ozone Zephyr 17M,Core XR2 17M,Best...

Re: Surreal Coastal Upwelling Session

Thanks for questions Rickl. The ocean surface was smooth glasslike. Mini clean 1-2ft sets. Was high tide so i could come pretty close to shallow. Slow grade to deepest outside 10-15 ft.deep. No weeds whatsoever. Water color has tinge of amber due to high plankton concentration from upwelling. My boa...

Surreal Coastal Upwelling Session

You get to beach sideshore wind 8mph! (south) in the northern hemisphere. zero whitecaps.super glassy.1 to 2ft surf. you know upwelling is happening because you swam that morning and the water temp dropped 10 degrees from 84F to 74F! since you have seen this phenomenon many times before you rig up b...

Re: Light Wind + Small Waves- Need a fat and flat board ?

Hi WW. If you are considering the north skimfish i would look at the north freerace twin fin 14cm (5 1/2") flat rocker 164cm (5'4") x 47.5cm (18 5/8") it is "skatey" turns on a dime / goes upwind high and fast / will kill mushy 3ft waves.that is my weapon for lightwind riding. On my 2011 14m rebel i ...

Re: share your 8-10mph surf gear choice

Thank you Peter-Frank for sharing your favorite"combo gear" for 10mph ocean waves riding.i had to look up "pedantic" by the way. however would you agree that having 30m lines on a 12m kite (7.5m projected) has less "power juice" than my set-up! i have 21m lines+3m extensions=24m plus the bridle leng...

share your 8-10mph surf gear choice

from a non downwinder type surf riding my set-up is speed3 21m and my north freerace twin fin strapped directional 164 (5'4") x 47.5 (18 5/8") i found that the 21m gets overall best performance by using 3m extensions for 21+3=24m lines. my weight 75 kl (165 lb) and years kiting 12.
