The backwards riding may have actually saved my life a few weeks ago. It's a great way to get across a thick/heavy kelp bed.

GK kites are very durable. Nobody has a stronger LE seam than GK. Look at how we sew the webbing into the seam. No rips on the seam EVER since we started doing it this way in 2007.

Try riding your DV8 with skate shoes. It makes a HUGE difference in leverage. I've been using regular "World Industries" skate shoes, but they make wake-skate shoes with better drainage that would probably even be better. I like to go upwind as if to do a 'tack', but shuffle up to the nose and dive the kite to the new direction and once you get going, do a pop-shuvit.

That's a cool way to transition.

Litewave DV8 was out of stock for about 1 week, but 2nd shipment just arrived....5'7" and 6'1".

We have a few factory blems for $599.
