Re: First time build, it's done!

I've been using the board for awhile now and it works very well, carves beautifully heads up wind and has soft, stable landings. Very positive feed back from those who have tried it.

Re: Lower back pain question

After two lower back surgeries, five discs removed, I started kiting. My back feels great, better than it did in my 20's over 30 years ago. If you always get sore muscles when kiting and you kite frequently you have a muscle imbalance. I would highly recommend seeing a physiotherapist. An imbalance ...

Re: Holbox Island in february

Like many places Holbox has kite beaches and no kite beaches. There is great kiting to be had no worries. Check in at the kite school located at Casa Tortugas for information.

Re: Holbox Island in february

February is a very good time for kiting in Holbox. This season has been excellent so far with many "Nortes" North winds blowing.

Re: First time build, it's done!

Took her out for a ride in mixed wind. Seemed to perform well, not consistent enough wind to really give it a full run. Heading out next week for a road/kite trip, looking forward to really putting it through the paces. The board weighs just under 3 kg without the straps and pads. Yes the T nuts are ...

Re: First time build, it's done!

Bottom is single concave with 3 skegs. They can be seen in the picture. Looks like the wind will be fair this afternoon so I'll give her a try and let you know. Thanks for the input. If I don't like the action I'll enjoy looking at her on my shop wall and start another!

Re: First time build, it's done!

Haven't had a chance to ride her with a kite yet as the only good wind lately has been with thunderstorms. I did wake surf with it and it seemed to perform fine but what can I tell being towed behind a stink-potter. I'll up date once I can kite with it.

Very sad. My best to his family. Like Toby I desire more information, if nothing else we could hopefully learn from this tragedy.
