Re: Liquid Force Trimming system and question

Lengthening steering lines would only move the sweet spot but not increase the throw.
The throw is governed by the total depower line length.
Its the distance of line between the chicken and the cleat.

Re: Liquid Force Trimming system and question

I have been struggling with this issue for a while now. I own several LF kites and upgraded to the CPR. I found an old North vario cleat on ebay and have attempted the above the bar mod several times but noticed how it reduces the bar throw and shortens the depower distance. I hate the below the bar...

Re: Kite industry moving away from outside line release

I can see the intermediates preferring centers as you point out for unhooked, trick riding etc.
Perhaps it may be an option that should remain for beginners.
Good feedback on this issue.
Thanks

Re: Kite industry moving away from outside line release

Spiraling is a good sign, it shows it is working properly. Since 2008, nothing has really changed with kites really - except for small things like below bar trim, metal hinged chicken loop releases and rear line adjustments on the wings. The disappearance of the outside (aka steering...whatever) rel...

Kite industry moving away from outside line release

Looks like the outside line flagging option (aka OSR) is being phased out of the market. Weren't the inside line releases once considered to have 'less' depower than the outside lines???? Why does slingshot (an obvious front runner in the market) still hold on???? Will never understand why a distres...

Re: Is line flex a varialble in bar pressure?

Didn't make a difference.

Moved to the lowest knots on the rear down lines, the highest knots on the LE and switched to a 55cm bar and wala...light bar pressure...thank god...

Re: POV Video - Deathlooping Kite Drags Rider Into A Rock Je

Wouldn't his eject have had a better chance of working if he had just leashed to his outside line instead? Looks like his outside lines were fine....This is exactly why I leash to my OSH ring on the outside line. If I eject, there's a damn good reason. It means I need to wrap the session up and regr...

Re: Is line flex a varialble in bar pressure?

I'm overhauling the SS bar with thin lines. Obviously the CSS will not be used due to line length differences but I like some of the SS bar components, very solid chicken loop base compared to LF. I will then fly the REV and see how it goes. Of course I will loose performance but I purchased the REV...

Re: Is line flex a varialble in bar pressure?

Yes, I don't think line characteristics have been discussed at length (no pun intended)...if lines get spongy over time is this a bad thing - maybe a few like me would say no as long as it suits their riding style (i.e. older man with tendentious lawn mowing)
