Re: Looping technique, XR 5

Your explanations aren't super clear, radius of loop should be a bit tighter on 7m but also a lot more play of where the kite is looping in window... it's so fast that a bit of different timing and you might be pulling loop a lot earlier so it loops deeper than if you loop it a bit before or after 1...

Re: Cabrinha FX 2018 vs F-One Bandit 2018.. Need help ;)

Anyone can help me with the choice buying the FX or the Bandit 2018. The Bandit ist good in everything. Like it. After flying bandits for 6 years looking for something new. I like the character of the FX 2018. What do you think is the better kite? I like boosting high, doing landing loops, kiteloop...

Re: Hand drags getting yanked

Thanks for the tip as I’m also learning slides and drags, but I need to sort out a truly basic fact as I’m not into loops.. I’m not yet clear on how the two major actions affect power and speed of the loop: 1) little steering vs fishpooling , and 2) how much you pull the bar (not talking about stee...

Re: Hand drags getting yanked

I like the slow loop trick on 9m, with plenty of speed you can drag for a while. Like mkNY said I just drag for longer and pull loop late when kite is further to side of window. I don't really pop hard for those kind of just bring leg up and go for drag. But yes I agree a lot of tricks are easy in s...

Re: video: my worst wipeout of the year on backroll kiteloop,

while trying out backroll kiteloop more powered I over rotated and landed flat on ribs. no injuries but knocked the wind out of me. I have had more impressive wipeout but landing flat even at low speed isn't fun. I guess it's a good harness fit test ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csOJaqHSKRY I ...

Re: Hello from Dallas, TX

A kiting buddy is moving to Dallas from New York, he told me that locals kite on some lake over there, wind is very gusty but pretty consistent.

Good luck.

Re: Flagrant boosting of the deepest steepest part of sweeet waves!

nice one, I rarely go ocean side because it rarely comes in good for boosting, it's usually the straight onshore mess. The other day with extreme low tide I got lucky and some waves were getting sucked into inlet changing direction of the incoming ramp. Got lucky and got enough speed between 2 waves...

Re: Help needed: XR5 and carbon drive Beginner

agreed with what has been said about kite size and board. at 175 lb i learned on an all rounder 135x39, now i have a rockered 138*39.5. for an all rounder you don't need that big of a board... unless you have flat water which doesn't seem to be the case then get 10m or 11m you will have much more fu...

Re: Project feedback

thanks for sharing. I don't really use it much but there is an app on iphone called "Riders" which kind of provide same functionality with some social network on top of it. I remember seeing something else with prerequisite to learning a trick which is missing. Like breaking down the trick into simp...
