Re: Is it just me, or does gusty wind suck?

We get consistent summer breezes off the ocean and gusty winter breezes off the land. In summer I fly kites that seek the edge of the wind window (chrono/RPMs) and in winter I fly kites soak up the gusts (waves kites that drift, BWS/Slingshot SST/Cab Drifter). The waves kites have made many a winter...

Re: The Mako Completely Reborn

ORSales I have a 2010 Mako King and a 2012 140. Based on your earlier info, does my 2010 King have a true rail to rail concave (because of the use of a foam core)? If so, what is the huge advantage of the new Mako King...lighter weight, durability, feel? I love my King, but I might have to see if t...

Re: Ozone Chrono - High Performance DePower Foil For All Sur

as for the sonic, best ever from FS, lovely kite to fly and far suited to kiters who are not racing but I have never ever been able to clean launch where the tips don,t get tangled and have never managed to launch it myself with just a dread of chaos Are you pre-inflating before launch? Just before...

Re: quad vs two fins?

1. big @ front, little @ rear (normal setup)
2. little @ front, big @ rear
3. big @ front only
4. big @ rear only

Re: Super light wind Skim vs what kind of surfboard??

Both the boards in the image work better than my skim board. Both are 23 inches wide.
The white has standard surfboard fins and is a bit slow. The bamboo monstrosity has two TT (35mm) installed and it is quite quick.

Re: How Many LEI Riders Own A Foil Kite For Ultra-Light Wind

12m Chrono in 5-6kn: http://www.vimeo.com/135168330 http://vimeo.com/135168330 The description states 6-8kn to make it more beleivable for normal kiters. But the fact that there are no other kiters even trying on one of the most crowded spots in the EU in summer holiday on a saturday speaks for its...

Re: How Many LEI Riders Own A Foil Kite For Ultra-Light Wind

I like my Ozone Edge's or even the Cabrinha Velocity much much better than the Flysurfer Speed 3. That is just my personal preference. I was thinking of getting the Chrono 18 to see if it will beat the Edge 19 in low wind, but all I see is people using smaller racing foil in higher wind 7-9 knots. ...

Re: How Many LEI Riders Own A Foil Kite For Ultra-Light Wind

I see a lots of slightly used race foil kites for sale now. Just like me, bought a Speed 3, tried it and take a hit, cut my losses and sell it. I bought four of the second hand chrono's and they rock. I hardly use the LEI's anymore. The 9, 12 and 18 bridles are all micky mouse and the 15 bridle nee...
