Re: When will those one pump hoses go inside the kite. Octopus style?

Get a strutless kite.... problem solved! Until the wind is less than perfect. IMO there are many times where a 5 strut or least a 3 strut kite work better. Just yesterday with shitty shifty gusty wind all the guys on newer 2 strut and 1 strut kites had a miserable time while me and a friend... both...

Re: When will those one pump hoses go inside the kite. Octopus style?

Naish system does look cleaner and works alright, until you have to fix it... A simple leak is very hard to troubleshoot since there's no way of isolating the main bladder from struts, and then there are these internal connections that also leak from time to time and are very hard to detect. Naish ...

Where everyone wants to be at that age. I don't know when this video was shot, but he won't live much longer if he keeps his safety leash attached to one of his back lines. Old school safety .....back line on "oh shit" safety rings , just loops a bit on the way down after you fire your prima...

Re: Foolkookio & Ridiculous Light Wind Claims

So where I live, the wind is a lot more dense than many other places on the planet, for example Brazil where Toby rides a 18m kite in 25 knots. If he were to do that here his feet wouldn't touch the ground! When was the last time Toby's feet touched the ground or the water for more that a second or...

Re: What is it about Foilers?

Could it be that you are dealing with some people that are new to foiling? It can be quite mumbling and frustrating at first. That said anyone riding a foil should be particularly careful how they ride. They should not ride to close to others. A foil can do a lot of damage. Apart from a couple of as...

Re: Best practices for using board leash in the surf with a kite

I was under the impression that the majority of leash injuries were due to snap back, in which case a knife wouldn't help much? Unless you were super fast ninja man of course. Leash can wrap around your kite lines, your board leash like can wrap around you if it snaps back, your board could get stu...

Re: Best practices for using board leash in the surf with a kite

Standard surfboard leashes are dangerous becasue the elasticity causes them to snap back on you. Much less of an issue with the above linked leashes. If i got only one cent for each time I've heard that... Repeating a falsehood just won't make it true. Read and understand: http://www.kiteboardleash...

Re: Best practices for using board leash in the surf with a kite

Hi Kitegirls. I am not speculating. I have owned two Oceanus reel leashes. While I did not suffer an injury I had a big floaty twin tip on a leash wrap around my lines after I got thrown up in the air by a Wave and a freak gust. It was a real mess. Here are the problems I see with that leash. I have...
