Re: Kit in a roof top box...

Thanks for bumping that. I've been thinking about painting the box top white for the very same reason. The only thing worse than leaky valves is shrinking of your expensive pre-stretch spectra lines (all high quality kite lines + a zillion bridle lines for the foil kiter.) I did drill about a zilli...

Re: Kit in a roof top box...

i've actaully thought about this....

any thoughts about adding a vent or something on the bottom?

i've even contemplated adding some type of water proof plug that could be opened on hot days to help it vent.

Re: Do you want a releasable spreader bar?

what about if inside the spreader bar, there was another tube that was spring loaded that you inserted the stem of the hook (that had a keyed index also) . this would require a beefier main tube and a nice beefy colloor to insert the stem of the hook into.

Wipika Free-Air 5.6 "the re-awakening"

so i acquired an old, but in pristine condition, Wipika free-air 5.6. it's crispy, clean and holds air. i've been experiment with making a bridle system, studying other kite's bridles; switchblade, waroo, rev, etc. and from what I've gotten so far, it works, but only so well. I'm not expecting to re...

Re: Your Best Kite Moment

when unpacking the car after riding one day my (now 2 1/2 years old) daughter stepped on to my board and into the straps from the right direction and said "daddy, i wanna go kiteboarding"

i knew then that someday I'd be able to kite more then once every two weeks again

Re: Old / well used kites, do they loose performance?

I image it is similar to a clutch in a used car. Similar to how Kitezilla explained.

the original driver may never notice a clutch as it wears , it's when someone else drives it and they comment on how crappy its. Yet the owner can drive it flawlessly.
