Re: Don't buy Naish! Unless you're feeling lucky!

How many Naish quality bashing threads are there on here? I can't recall any others..... So that suggests the quality is good. There are 2 two schools of thought in this thread. 1) People who think new kites shouldn't be damaged by crashing. therefore it is a faulty product. 2) People that understa...

Re: Don't buy Naish! Unless you're feeling lucky!

To be fair to OP I've been riding Torches for 8 years and have crashed them loads of times and they have not split, modern kites are easily able to withstand these types of crashes and should only really split due to weakness down to damage/manufacturing. There is evidence to suggest the brand new k...

Re: Don't buy Naish! Unless you're feeling lucky!

Bit of difference between a bar and a kite and its but a great comparison to claim Core has amazing service when most companies will replace a bar.

The OP isn't necessarily moaning about the damage, more that Naish are not dealing with it.

Re: Don't buy Naish! Unless you're feeling lucky!

Feel for you I've been riding Naish Torches since 2007 and will probably change next year as most of mine are getting on now, it does worry me that the bigger the brand the worse it seems the customer support is :( think I'd be tempted to go with manufacturer who offers better service this time. Gon...

Re: twintip pads durability / am I doing something wrong?

Original doesn't mean that they are ok. Either wrong screws, too loose or too tight (or just cheap design). I would say too tight from what you have just said.

Re: twintip pads durability / am I doing something wrong?

Do your screws go all the way in?? If they are bottoming out then they may feel tight but actually be loose which could cause the pad to move and break?? Try fitting the pads, tightening screw and making 100% sure pads are firmly secured down.

Re: twintip pads durability / am I doing something wron?

I see what the problem is, those pass are cheap and nasty and about 5 years out of date design. Buy better pads that have a more durable base that uses a plastic spreader to dissipate the load from the screw. You could try a larger washer/spreader but everytime you twist your foot the pads will twis...

Don't do it, you'll die.

Re: how to connect the pigtail to a parafoil kite

Kite lines are symmetrical so look at the other side to see how the line should be attached.
