Watch out! Apparently, knots weaken the line by up to 50% of its strength.
A technique I read about and used (it works well) is the following: chew on the knot until it becomes soft, then you can open it again. Your teeth should be round enough not to damage your flying lines.

It probably works, but in the end, your kite will always suffer, since at some point you might forget to bring your towel :-|
Also, my guess is it will be more difficult to sell a kite that needs to be looked after so much more?!
To all you Takoon owners:
is the thin material in the tips a problem or not? I would fear that the kites will disintegrate pretty quickly at the tips, especially if you have to start solo or if you have to land the kite on a rought beach (even if someone helps you)
I guess I know the forum, but: - It is true that white on black is not so good (look at books and magazines or any text based website) - I just saw that it is possible to use themes in this forum. Then every user could customize the forum to their taste - and the turquise on black of olli's forum......
